Discovery Day Camp & DaytimeAdventures Camp Discounts Early Bird: $100 discount is available when paid in full by May 20 for 10- or 8-week (full day) camp registrations. Multi-Sibling Discount: Discount applies to 10- or 8-week (full day) camp registrations for all same house-hold billings registered for Discovery Day Camp and/or Daytime Adventures camp. Once registration is paid, each additional sibling will receive $40 off their 10- or 8-week (full day) camp registration. Does not apply to siblings not residing in the same household, 5-week camps, Before Camp, After Camp, and/or Before and After camp.Cancellation Policy:Those who cancel their camper’s registration afterMay 20 will incur a $50 cancellation fee.

Camp BraveHartHeld at 2 locations - Hartman Recreation Center or Nowell ParkRecreation Center. Campers will enjoy field trips, arts and crafts, games, sports, theme days and much more. Every day will present a newadventure. Included in the fee is bus transportation for all field trips, field trip fees, one summer camp t-shirt, one summer camp book bag, lunch and snack. Early bird discount rates are available for campers who are paid in full by May 17. A $50 non-refundable deposit can be made to se-cure a spot in camp. Summer Puddle JumpersWhether you’re planning to enroll your child in Sunshine & Rainbows Learning Center, or another area preschool, these classes are necessary. Our curriculum includes valuable, developmentally appropriate activities. Children do not have to be potty trained and parents do not stay with their children for this camp. Summer Puddle Jumpers focuses on get-ting children accustomed to being away from parents in a warm, caring natural environment. Our goal is to overcome the tears, complete an art creation and teach class participation skills, but also focus on more preschool preparedness skills. As the child progresses, he/she will be en-couraged to make choices between interest areas, taking turns, listening, circle time, following directions, sharing, and participating in clean-up time. Your child will work on fine motor skills as he/she learns to use a glue stick, write, draw, and paint using a variety of art materials. Your child will also be visiting our sandbox, playground, flower gardens and will use our sensory tables. Please dress your child in play clothes.

Camp SendakThis learning enrichment camp is designed for the child who just completed 1st – 3rd grade. Students should enjoy reading, writing and math. Activities will allow self expression, creativity, socialization, and recreation. Students will continue their school studies enhanced by traditional camp experiences and activities, including 30 minutes of daily structured physical education and weekly visits to the Joliet Public Library. Sports Mania Specialty CampLearn the fundamentals of many sports in this active and EXCITING camp! Participants will receive basic knowledge in a different sport each day. Drop off and pick up is on the west side of ATI Field at Joliet Memo-rial Stadium every day except one (Inwood Park large pavilion). Partici-pants will be notified of that date on the first day of camp. Campers will attend one off-site field trip. On Thursday and Friday afternoons, campers will swim at the Inwood Athletic Club pool. Participants should wear athletic shoes and be dressed for the weather. Teen Leadership CampThis camp will teach skills and techniques toward developing teens to be awesome leaders, build self-confidence, and empower them to inspire the same in others. During this unique camp we will meet with leaders in the community, work on fun team building activities and most impor-tantly participate in a variety of community service projects from start to finish including developing flyers and other types of media. Campers will learn life skills as they volunteer at local food pantries, animal rescue shelters, and other non-for-profit organizations. Community service hours will be awarded at the end of the camp to be used for schools, clubs, and church organizations. Counselor in Training ProgramThe Counselor-in-Training Program is designed to offer qualified young teens an opportunity to prepare for positions as camp counselors when they reach the appropriate ages. Emphasis is placed upon developing leadership skills, sensitivity to children, and program skills. Participation in the CIT program is by selection. Those interested in the program must complete an application process, which includes an application, refer-ences, and an interview. Only 5 applicants will be accepted. Survival CampYou find yourself lost while hiking in the woods with your group of friends. Cell phones have no signals. Your friend just tripped and hurt their ankle. How will you survive until a rescue party finds you? What should you bring along with you on such a trip? Do you know basic first aid to treat the injured? Can you make a shelter? How about building a fire? What could you find to eat? Where is water found and how do you make it safe to drink? Come to survival camp and you will learn all of these skills! Participants will experience a wide variety of survival techniques. Be a good survivor: dress for the weather, wear sunscreen, bug spray and long pants, and bring a snack and bottle of water. There is an optional overnight on Thursday. You will spend the evening inside the Nature Center in your sleeping bag. There will be a night hike and camp-fire. Friday morning you will enjoy a pancake breakfast. To register for this part of the program you must have taken the Survival Camp and pay an extra fee. We need a minimum of 8 campers to register for the overnight in order for this portion to run.

jr. lifeguard CampThis is your chance to experience the duties and responsibilities of being a lifeguard. Camp participants will receive a t-shirt, whistle, and have the chance to work alongside Splash Station lifeguards to build a founda-tion of the knowledge, skills, and attitude needed to be a great lifeguard. Participants should bring a swim suit, towel, and bag lunch each day. Jr. Guards will be invited to participate in the Lifeguard Olympics on August 4th at Splash Station Waterpark.
