Full school uniform must be worn to and from school each day, except when attending early morning

practices. All girls, e.g. those wearing sports uniform to school for early morning practices, must have

full summer or winter uniform at school every day. Girls who go to sports training after school that

iPad Requirements Years 4 - 6

Your daughter’s iPad will need to be running the latest version of iOS and be at least a 32GB capacity

for school use, however if possible, a model with more storage is preferred.

The minimum iPad requirement includes all full sized iPads from "The New 9.7 inch iPad"

https://www.apple.com/au/ipad-9.7/and onwards including all iPad Pro models.

iPad mini devices cannot be included as part of our 1:1 iPad program as they are not suitable

due to external exam requirements (NAPLAN).

It is also recommended that all students have an external keyboard and an Apple Pencil.

A WiFi-only model will reduce the cost of your purchase and is compatible for school use. However,

should you not have internet access at home, some families may choose to purchase a 4G

cellular model.

To set up your iPad you must first have an Apple ID. While our school understands that some parents

may already have an Apple ID, we strongly recommend that a new Apple ID is created for each

student participating in our 1:1 program.

Through Apple's Family Sharing options, parents are now able to create an Apple ID for their children.

This provides a level of parental control options that most parents are comfortable with. No credit

card is required to establish this new Apple ID as gift cards can be used for App purchases. It is vital

that each student is provided with a password for their new Apple ID account to enable them to

download new Apps as required from time to time in class.

You can create an Apple ID in a few quick and easy steps. This account can be created without the use

of a credit card.

For more information please visit: http://www.sthildasipadportal.com/creating-a-new-apple-id

If you have any questions about the iPad program, please don’t hesitate to contact Mr Geoff Powell

via email [email protected] or Mr Dan Martinez [email protected]

Discounted Apple Products

Please find link below for discounted Apple products. These products can be delivered direct to your

home or the school if your daughter is a boarder.

It is recommended that you and your daughter read and review these guides prior to the beginning of

the School year.

Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular Activities

At St Hilda’s School we offer a wide range of co-curricular activities and also some extra-curricular

activities. Through their involvement in these activities, students develop a sense of accomplishment

and enhance their self-confidence by using their talents and responding to the challenges presented

to them.

Co-Curricular activities form an integral part in the learning and development of all students as they

augment the formal curriculum.

Co-Curricular activities are those additional activities which are not taught in the usual classroom

environment. The co-curricular dimension of an all-round education has never been more important

than it is today. They expose students to community, state and national organisations and thus create

links to the “real world”. Co-Curricular activities allow students to learn a variety of skills, many of

which they will carry with them for life.
