Keynote Speaker
Prof. Cara Drinan, Columbus School of Law The War on Kids: How American Juvenile Justice Lost Its Way
9:10-9:30 Koubek Auditorium
Professor Drinan teaches criminal law, criminal procedure, and various seminars on constitutional
law. Drinan’s scholarship focuses on criminal justice reform, with a particular emphasis on access to justice, juvenile justice and the death penalty. Before joining the CUA law faculty, she taught at George
Mason University and worked as a litigator in private practice.
Professor Drinan holds a B.A., summa cum laude, from Bowdoin College, an M.A. from Oxford University in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, and a J.D. from Stanford Law School. She was a
recipient of both a Truman and Marshall Scholarship.
