Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars – The Legendary CabernetEmbark on a unique Caribbean voyage where SeaDream guests can indulge in the legendary wines from Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars and other exquisite cuvees from the Ste Michelle Wine Estates Family.

The story of Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars is now legendary, and it is based on the wish and hope from Warren Winarski, to create a wine that had not only regional character but also elements of classic and universal character – he found it in a wine coming from the vineyard that is now known as “Fay”. Founded in 1970, the winery was thrust into the spotlight when a bottle of the 1973 S.L.V Cabernet Sauvignon won the now famous 1976 Paris tasting, beating some of the most renowned wines of Bordeaux. The victory, also known as the Judgement of Paris, brought international recognition to Californian Winemaking and the Napa Valley and it launched Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars into the ranks of the world’s most noteworthy Cabernet Sauvignon’s. The 1973 vintage of S.L.V can be found in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian, as one of the “101 objects that Made America”. The Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars signature style has often been described as “an iron fist in a velvet glove”, a reference to the artful balance between ripeness and restraint, softness and structure. Wines that are extraordinary when young, but even more exquisite after they have aged for decades. On this unique voyage, some of the most iconic wines from this first growth Napa estate will be poured, as the Cask 23 – a single barrel wine with extraordinary depth, richness and balance. Over the years the wines coming from Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars have become some of the most highly regarded and collected wines worldwide. In 2007 Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars became a part of the Ste. Michelle Wine Estates Family, including a beautiful collaboration with Marchesi Antinori, one of the most significant Italian winemaking families. At two complimentary wine tastings on the SeaDream Yacht, guests will experience “The Best of the West”, tasting wines from the leading Wineries in Washington and Oregon along with the iconic wineries from Napa and Sonoma Valley. Since “Drinking good wine with good food in good company is one of life’s most civilized pleasures”, SeaDream Yacht Club will present two Winemaker’s Dinners during the voyage, where the iconic wines will be matched by a unique menu, composed by SeaDream’s Executive Chef. SeaDream is offering a wine-by-the-glass pairing package for this degustation dinner. The voyage will be hosted by the master of “vinotainment”, Mr. Al Portney, Vice President at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates.

St. Johns Brewers – The Native Flavor of the IslandVisit the Tap Room in Cruz Bay, St. John and enjoy a beer tasting that will change your perception of what a pale ale should taste like. The story of St. John Brewers begins when two college classmates quit their jobs to live on the small island of St. John in the U.S Virgin Islands. Chirag who was working as a scientist for NASA and Kevin, a physical therapist at a Boston Medical Center, chose to live an uncomplicated and enjoyable island life.On island time, they dreamt of creating a local craft beer, one with native flavor and an island soul. Within a few short years, Chirag and Kevin perfected their signature recipe for a pale ale with a hint of mango (one of the local fruits grown on St. John). They have already celebrated their 10th anniversary and have now bottled several different styles of beer, each with a taste of the island.
