For 2017 we have over 20 new tours as well as previous favourites. Visit the glorious Sissinghurst Gardens, try your hand at broadcasting at BBC Bristol or enjoy a cream tea served by a butler at a Sussex stately home. Once again we will be visiting the RHS shows at Chelsea and Hampton Court, The Knitting and Stitching shows at Olympia and Alexandra Palace, Countryfile at Blenheim Palace and the New Forest Show. From castles and stately homes through river and canal cruises to steam train rides and animal parks join us aboard our luxury coaches for a Kardan Day tour. We hope to again run tours to Highgrove Gardens so please contact us if you are interested. Dates should be available in February.

You will hear how TV and radio programmes are made, now and in the past and have the chance to visit the interactive studio and have a go at presenting the news and weather or star in your own radio drama. Numbers for the tours are limited and whilst we hope to run more during the year book early to secure your place.

The Houses of Parliament Tour Saturday 11th MarchOn arrival in London you will have free time for lunch, a short river cruise or to explore the South Bank before walking over Westminster Bridge to one of the most iconic buildings in the world - the Houses of Parliament. Here you will be taken on a 75 minute guided tour that includes the Commons and Lords Chambers, the Queens Robing Room, the Royal Gallery and Westminster Hall.

Alternatively for a spot of retail therapy the famous shops of Kensington and Knightsbridge are close by including Harrods, the world’s most famous department store.

The Spring Knitting & Stitching Show Saturday 4th March This is the knitting and sewing show of the year, offering over 200 exhibitors selling essential supplies and craft materials. The show was established over 20 years ago during which time it has gained a reputation as the best sewing exhibition for textile lovers anywhere in the UK. There are over 200 workshops on offer at Olympia giving you the opportunity to learn new skills or simply be inspired.

Florimania at Hampton Court Saturday 25th MarchHampton Court Palace’s Florimania will be inspired by the concept of Ladies with Flowers and will highlight the royal women throughout history who have been avid garden and flower enthusiasts including Queen Mary II and Marie-Antoinette. There will be hands on demonstrations from floral experts and visitors will be able to explore the interiors of the historic building including Henry VIII’s state apartments which will be decorated with vibrant floral displays.

Cadbury World Heritage Tour Tuesday 21st MarchTake a trip down memory lane with this nostalgia tour which combines an informative talk about the Bournville village and the Cadbury family with a fully guided tour around Cadbury World. A member of the heritage team will join the coach for a tour of the pretty tree lined village with its beautiful architecture. Afterwards there will be a guided tour of the Cadbury World exhibition and an included afternoon tea.

Beautiful BathThursday 16th March Enjoy a day in Bath one of the most beautiful cities in England. Marvel at the magnificent Royal Crescent, The Circus, Pulteney Bridge and Bath Abbey. Milestones Museum Tuesday 4th AprilExplore what life was like for Hampshire people in the past with a visit to Milestones Museum. On arrival we will have a special presentation with tea/coffee and cake before the chance to wander through the old cobbled streets lined with shops from a bygone age. Enjoy the collection of beautifully restored vintage vehicles and at lunch time visit the traditional Baverstock Arms pub. There should also be time for some modern retail therapy on the return journey.

Rye & Battle Tuesday 11th AprilWe first visit the ancient hillside town of Rye, with its enchanting cobbled streets, beautiful harbour, medieval church and beautifully preserved houses. Rye is almost suspended in time and has a unique unhurried atmosphere. In the afternoon we visit nearby Battle. Named after the Battle of Hastings and built around the Abbey of St. Martin, there are some lovely Georgian buildings along its high street with many quaint, individual shops and restaurants.

Springtime at Cotswold Farm Park (Adam Henson’s Farm) Thursday 6th AprilA stop at the beautiful Cotswold town of Bourton-on-the-Water will be made before our visit to Adam Henson’s Farm. Bourton straddles the river Windrush and has been described as the Venice of the Cotswolds. With its many shops, cafes and attractions it is a lovely place to stop before making the short journey to the Cotswold Farm Park. The farm was founded in 1971 by Adam’s father to protect some

of the rare breeds of farm animals. The farm is now home to over 50 breeds. Our visit will include an introductory talk with tea/coffee and then free time to enjoy the demonstration in the display barn, take the Farm Safari Ride and see many of the flocks and herds of British rare breed farm animals including cattle, sheep and several breeds of pig. Pig breeds especially, have had been such a success that some are no longer in danger. Adam’s Kitchen serves refreshments and there is also a gift shop.

Bletchley Park Thursday 20th April Step back in time at Bletchley Park and enjoy atmospheric soundscapes playing snatches of conversation, music and laughter, as well as the noises of bicycle bells and steam trains to conjure up how it would have sounded during World War Two. Explore and experience the top-secret world of iconic WW2 Codebreaking Huts and Blocks and see the Abwehr Enigma machine made famous in the film ‘The Imitation Game’.

Ardingly Antiques Fair Tuesday 18th AprilThis International Antiques and Collectors Fair is a truly cosmopolitan antiques event. Up to 1,700 stalls selling thousands of goods – from fine antique furniture to delicate ceramics – are available here. It has a reputation as one of the UK antique fairs where quality European decorative items can be found. With a combination of inside and outdoor stands this midweek fair is the perfect opportunity to indulge in a little vintage shopping.

Bradford on Avon & American MuseumThursday 13th AprilWe stop first at historic Bradford-on-Avon. Wander the narrow hillside streets, visit the church, ancient bridge or enjoy lunch. Later we visit the American Museum which for 2017 has two special exhibitions. 1920s Jazz Age: Fashion and Photographs, presents a glittering display of over 150 haute couture and ready-to-wear garments from 1919 to 1929. There is also a stunning display of contemporary needlework on display throughout the manor house.

Horse Drawn Barge Tour on Kennet & Avon CanalWednesday 26th AprilWe visit the market town of Newbury, with time for lunch before continuing to Kintbury where we join the beautifully decorated “Kennet Valley” barge for our leisurely two hour cruise on one of England’s loveliest canals. The barge has no engine and is powered solely by the towing action of the horse. Passing through tranquil and picturesque countryside and at least one lock this is a truly relaxing day out.

Slimbridge Wetland Centre

Thursday 4th MayVisit Slimbridge Wetland Centre and experience a day like no other. Lunchtime Special on the Bluebell Railway Friday 12th MayVisit the only standard gauge steam railway in the country, operating trains through the heart of the Sussex countryside. Travel through time from the Victorian age at Sheffield Park, to the 1930’s at Horsted Keynes and the 1950’s at Kingscote. Sissinghurst Castle & Gardens Thursday 15th JuneHistoric, poetic, iconic: a refuge dedicated to beauty. Waddesdon Manor Thursday 29th JuneCome and see why Waddesdon Manor won the gold award in the large visitor attraction at the Beautiful South awards. The magnificent house and grounds are in the style of a French Chateau with dramatic architecture, grand rooms and French royal furniture. The house was the family home of the Rothschilds who were great collectors and it contains over 15,000 works of art including 18th century portraits by Reynolds & Gainsborough. Baron Ferdinand created

his garden for the amusement of his guests, who spent an entire morning on their tour. Waddesdon had one of the most important Victorian gardens. Many of the key features have been restored and can be enjoyed by today’s visitors. The Rothschilds were pioneers of carpet bedding, using close-growing plants to create ‘pictures in plants’. The large beds around the South Fountain are planted each year with designs inspired by exhibitions in the house.

Henley-on-Thames & River Cruise Tuesday 11th JulyThere will be time to explore this famous riverside town before joining the Hibernia for a 2 hour river cruise, during which you will be served a cream tea. Turning and cruising downstream, we pass under Henley Bridge and along the famous Henley Regatta course before returning to Henley.
