Thursday: Magnificat, A Ministry of Evangelization, Prayer, and PraiseWe enter His courts with thanksgiving and praise. The conference opens with Masscelebrated at the hotel by “Magnificat Proclaims” book contributor and Orange CountyChapter Spiritual Advisor, Fr. Bao Thai. His homily, “The Eucharist: To Give Thanks,” weavestogether his extraordinary personal journey from no religion to the Catholic Church and ourown priestly call to evangelize the world through the sacrament of Baptism. Thursdayevening, Maria Vadia and Living Praise Worship Team will share the undeniable power of theHoly Spirit through a dynamic Prayer Meeting entitled, “Called to Evangelize: The Eucharist,Strength for the Journey.”

Friday: Magnificat, A Ministry of TeamworkBe amazed by the new directions that the Lord is taking the ministry! Learn about the latest Holy Spirit inspiredcollaborations. We will launch our next “Magnificat Proclaims” book featuring clergy who have given their testimonies atMagnificat Meals. Hear from Jeff Suppan, a retired World Series Champion baseball player, about the importance ofteamwork and growing up in a Magnificat family. His Mom, Kathy Suppan, started the first Magnificat Chapter in CA.Share “best practices” through the many workshops offered at the conference to help Chapters magnify the Lord to theirfullest, including our first Spanish workshop on Prayer given by Maria Vadia and a Leadership workshop, “Becoming aSteadfast Servant of God,” presented by professional leadership consultant, Cathy Fletcher.

Saturday: Magnificat, A Ministry of Fellowship and PrayerTravel by bus to tour the jewel of the California Missions, San Juan Capistrano, and home ofSt. Junipero Serra. Renee Bondi will minister to us through her inspiring talk, “Fellowship ofthe Body of Christ in the Eucharist,” discussing the Great Holy Thursday Command “to loveand serve one another.” She will share in her unique testimony how a sudden tragic eventresulted in permanent paralysis, but through the strength of the Lord, she has become aworldwide motivational speaker finding joy in all circumstances and fellowship in all people.Celebrate Magnificat’s 36th Anniversary Mass at the San Juan Capistrano Mission Basilica. Itwill be the Feast of the Holy Rosary, First Saturday and, providentially, one week away fromthe centennial anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima. Our main celebrant will be Msgr. DavidToups, “Magnificat Proclaims” book contributor. His homily, “Magnificat: The Power of theHoly Spirit and the Humility of Mary” will examine these two aspects of Magnificatspirituality, his personal journey ministering to seminarians, and the importance of thecharisms of the Holy Spirit.

Our First Friday Mass will be celebrated at the hotel by one of our “Magnificat Proclaims”

book contributors, Fr. Don Calloway. His homily, “The Importance of Repentance and

Forgiveness” will be centered on Christ’s forgiveness, the blessing of the Priest in the

Sacrament of Reconciliation, and the importance of forgiveness on teams. The evening

session will feature Johnnette Benkovic presenting a talk entitled, “Mary and the Eucharist”

where she will expound upon the Perfect Team: Jesus and Mary, and how it applies to our

Chapter teams working in cooperation with Jesus and Mary in the plan of salvation.

After Mass, travel to Christ Cathedral to participate in a Eucharistic

Healing Service led by Msgr. Steve Doktorczyk, Fr. Bao Thai, and

Kathleen Beckman with Adoration, Confession, and Anointing of the

Sick. Saturday night, experience our treasured Magnificat Meal

featuring Fr. Don Calloway (renegade turned Priest) and his Mother,

LaChita, giving their testimony, “A Mother’s Faith, A Son’s

Conversion.” Be inspired by the story of this modern day “St.

Monica” and “St. Augustine.”

Sunday morning opens with a reflection on “Contemplative Prayer” by Kathleen Beckmanhighlighting the power of women praying in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament andMagnificat’s 5th objective, Spiritual Maternity of Priests. Following, Sr. Regina MarieGorman will give a talk on the “Healing Power of the Eucharist” reflecting on the miraclesin her own life and praying for our beloved Priests in attendance.

The conference closes with Mass and homily given by “Magnificat Proclaims” bookcontributor, Fr. Pat Crowley. His homily, “Vocations Empowered by the Holy Spirit,” willbe centered on the Vocation Sacraments as well as his own delightful testimony of how theBaptism in the Holy Spirit gave him the passion and zeal to minister all over the world.
