Cancellations We require 48 (business)
hours notice of a cancella-
tion, otherwise you will be
charged the day’s fee as
usual. As it is a long holiday
break, we recommend you
keep a record of the days
you have booked.
Swimming DAYS
On the days we have scheduled to go
to the pool/beach we have plenty of
extra adults supervising and are very
conscious of the importance of shade.
On these days, however, please ensure
the children have hats and t-shirts .
We apply sun block every 2 hours.
We will not be doing general swimming
at the beach, but rather paddling in
shallow water and sand play
Ten Plus Ten Plus may include responsible Nine
Year olds—please check with Mandy.
Please note the differences in excursions for
these children and notify us if you have any
problems/issues.
Accounts &
Changes to bookings
The vacation Care period extends
over six weeks. Please organize to pay
fees on a regular weekly or fortnightly
basis. Please budget and plan for this
expense.
Please note changes to booked dates
throughout the holidays will incur a
$10 fee.
Hot Weather When programming in December/January,
we take into account the fact that it may
be very hot weather. On these hot days,
we choose to modify excursions, rather
than cancel. We try to teach the children
how to look after themselves in extreme
weather. If it is hot we will generally
leave early and arrive back earlier. We
take plenty of water, and spray bottles,
seek shade and encourage the children to
cover up and drink constantly. We always
consider safety and the children’s
wellbeing first. Please label EVERYTHING.
We get heaps of lost property!
HATS St Pius X is a Sun Smart School No Hat, No Play. Please make sure children have hats every day Lunch
Please read the program carefully to see which days the
children do not need lunch. If the day advertises a
particular thing for lunch this is all included in the cost.
On some excursions, it says children may bring money to
buy lunch at certain venues. This is optional. On other days
children must have packed lunches. It is not an option to
buy lunch on any excursion day—sometimes it is very
inconvenient.
OSHC Sleepover Thursday January 12th we are having an OSHC sleepover in the
school gym. This is an optional extra for any interested children aged 9 and over.
Separate forms need to be completed and $22 to be paid by the end of term. Forms are available from OSHC or on the
website (or by email request). OSHC will operate as normal on this day for any children not
participating in the sleepover.
St Pius X Vacation Care 8 Windsor Grove, WINDSOR GARDENS SA 5087
PH: 8369 1489 FAX: 8369 1603
[email protected] www.spxoshc.org.au
The program operates between 7.30am and 6pm. Children left at the pro-gram outside of these hours will incur a late penalty. ($1 every minute late.)
Fees: $45.50 ($46.60 as of 1/1/17) per child per day on non-excursion day. $51.50 Excursion Day ($52.75 as of 1/1/17) (only the days we depart school grounds). Please note, this is the full cost without government assistance. Child Care Benefit (CCB) and Childcare Rebate are available to families. Please contact the Family Assistance Office to register for this scheme prior to the start of the holidays. There is a once-off $20 enrolment fee for new families. Please Note: A $10 Administration Fee will be applied to any vaca-tion care amounts which are outstanding for more than 30 days.
BOOKINGS: Please book in advance. A booking form must be returned to St Pius X ASAP to ensure a place. Bookings not received by Friday in the second-to-last week of term will incur a $10 fee. Any change to bookings after final submission date will attract a $10 fee.
New bookings must be accompanied by an enrolment form and $20 enrolment fee. Forms may be obtained from OSHC or front office.
Please ensure children have packed recess and lunches every day (except for lunch on special lunch days as stated on the program, such as sausage sizzles, party lunches, etc.).
CANCELLATIONS: If you need to cancel a particular day, or your child is sick, please remember to ring us! Failure to give us 2 Working Days notice (ie not including Saturday or Sunday) of a cancellation will result in the full day’s fee being charged.
However, cancellations after the bookings closure date attract a $10 fee (per family) (even with 2 days notice).
Priority will be given to work-related families and children already attending school, booked by the closure date.
EXCURSIONS: Excursion times are approximate – please ensure children are at the
program well before departure time. Movie sessions are not available until the week before, so an exact departure time is not avail until then
The children do not need extra money for excursions, but they may take it for snacks and drinks on some excursions. Do not feel compelled to give your children spending money—only 50% bring it.
On Movie Day most children order a combo at extra cost—see booking form. Please do not send money for lunch UNLESS the program indicates it. Please send warm jackets and wet weather gear every day in the winter
months for when we go on excursions and hats in the summer. Please label – we get lots of lost property!
The program is subject to change, depending on the weather. All children must be signed in and out every day. All medication requirements must be notified to staff beforehand and
signed into our medications book. Please label clearly. If there are any questions or problems, please speak to Mandy or any of the
OSHC staff team.
Ten Plus Ten Plus is a separate group for children aged nine years and over.
They have their own room with board games, magazines, music, art and electronic equipment.
The children are given more responsibility and higher expectations. Any child failing to be responsible will, as a consequence, return to the general group.
Please note any variations on the program for Ten Plus Excursions.
