Area management and project engineering for the communications infrastructure group, providing management, contract management, and project engineering support to project personnel, the client Rio Tinto, contractors and associated third parties within the UK, France, USA, Canada, Australia and West Africa. The value of the Scope of Works was in excess of $140M, with an overall project value of in excess of $20B.

Accountable for the management and delivery of contract packages for the communications infrastructure, associated communications systems and equipment including satellite, radio and IT systems required for in country areas along and between the 750km railway link from the mine area to the port, requirements to facilitate temporary and permanent camps, safety in vehicle communications and tracking systems.

Managed and delivered contract packages, budgets (Opex/Capex) and resources for commercial and engineering deliverables. Defining contractor scope of work and meeting objectives of assigned scope.
