Registration Procedure

Starts today, Wed 11 Jan 2017 (3.00 pm)

Ends on Mon 16 Jan 2017 (4.00 pm)

Registration Procedure 1. Refer to your Form A and JAE Booklet for course

eligibility details.

2. Complete the JAE worksheet in your JAE booklet before doing your online registration.

3. Key in your NRIC and the JAE PIN to access the JAE-IS. [The website and guide to JAE Internet System can be found in your JAE booklet.]

4. Provide mobile phone number if you wish to receive the posting results through SMS.

5. Print and keep the Verification Slip as proof of your application.

Important Points to Note

• Consider your course choices wisely. Applicants are posted to a course based on merit according to their net aggregate scores.

• Consider courses that are comparable to your aggregate scores, for better fit and better chances of being admitted.

Important Points to Note

• Make full use of your 12 choices. If you only make a few choices and are unsuccessful in getting a place in any of your choices, you will be posted to a course with remaining vacancies after all the other students are being posted according to their choices.

• Indicate at least 2-3 courses where your aggregate scores are much better than the previous year’s course cut-off points, so that you will stand a better chance to be admitted to one of your course choices.

Results of Application

Posting results of JAE application are scheduled for release on Thu 2 Feb 2017 through:

• JAE-IS, accessible through the JAE website

• SMS to the mobile number provided during registration.

Acceptance of Offer

If you are offered a course in a: 1. JC/MI- you must report on Fri 3 Feb 2017. 2. Polytechnics- you should receive an enrolment

package by end February. 3. ITE- you should receive an enrolment letter within

3 working days upon the release of JAE posting results.

4. Any student who does not report/complete enrolment/accept course offer will be deemed to have forfeited his or her place.

Summary of JAE Admission Exercise

Re-admission to School

Sec 4E and Sec 5N students are allowed to repeat the GCE O-Level Examination only if they satisfy all the criteria below:

Retention Criteria (a) (i) Obtained no more than 2 GCE O-Level passes (excluding

CCA) and an aggregate of 45 points or fewer in 6 subjects. CCA may be considered as one of the 6 subjects, or

(ii) Obtained 3 or more GCE O-Level passes (excluding CCA) but do not qualify for admission to Junior Colleges, Millennia Institute or Polytechnics,

Re-admission to School

Retention Criteria (b) (i) Will not be more than 4 years overage, for

Singapore Citizens/ Permanent Residents, or (ii) Will not be more than 2 years overage, for

International Students, (c) Had been enrolled in a Government or

Government-aided school in 2016 and (d) Had attempted the GCE O-Level Examination for

the first time in 2016.

Application Procedure

1. Obtain application form from the General Office.

2. Two window periods to submit form:

• First period

Wed 11 Jan 2017 to 4.00 pm on Tue 17 Jan 2017

• Second period

After JAE posting results, Thu 2 Feb 2017 to Wed 8 Feb 2017

Personal Particulars on Result Slips

• Check that your personal particulars are printed correctly on your result slips as the same personal particulars will be printed on your certificates.

• Inform the school if your personal particulars need to be amended.

• There will be an administrative fee of $50 for any request to amend the particulars after 20 Jan 2017.

• All appeals and payments must be submitted through the school by Tue 17 Jan 2017.

• The fee is S$112.35 per subject (inclusive of 7% GST).

• The service includes a review of the marking and a full clerical re-check.

• No report will be provided.

Appeal for review of GCE O results

Request for CCA Certificate

• If you require a copy of your CCA certificate for any interviews, you may go to the General Office and approach Mr Danial, Ms Nazar or Mdm Noraini.

Computer Lab 3 (Block A Level 4) will be open for students to submit their on-line applications.

Students are to come in full school uniform and with proper hairstyle.
