APCCMPD CONFERENCE AWARDS AND FUNDING
APCCMPD Award for Research in Medical Education Recognizes pulmonary and critical care medicine training program directors, associate program directors, key clinical faculty or fellows-in-training for their outstanding contributions and commitment to medical education research. The research project focus may be directed toward under undergraduate or graduate medical education in the fields of pulmonary or critical care.
This award is bestowed to one APCCMPD member each year. Applicants must submit an abstract describing an innovative medical education research project.
Abstracts must describe the methods used and include preliminary outcomes/results.
Darlene Buczak Award for Educational Excellence The Darlene Buczak Award for Educational Excellence recognizes pulmonary and critical care medicine training program directors for their outstanding contributions and commitment to medical education and training.
This award is bestowed to one APCCMPD member each year. To be eligible to compete, applicants must submit an abstract describing a successful innovative educational method they have applied to their training programs.
Deadline The abstract deadline for both awards is November 30, 2015. To be considered all applications must be submitted on-line.
Apply now at apccmpd.org The selected awardees will receive a $500 award, 2 nights hotel, 21-day advance purchase coach airfare, and complimentary registration to the 2016 Spring APCCMPD Conference on March 5-6, 2016, in San Antonio, TX. The awardees will also have the opportunity to present his or her innovative educational/training approach at the conference.
