In order to broaden the opportunities for the students

as entrepreneurs, a session on Entrepreneurship was

organized on 20th

Dec, 2016.Shri D. Murali Krishna,

Chairman Vikash Group of Institutions addressed and

motivated the students in the honorable presence of

Dr. S. N. Panda, Director, VGI, Dr. K.K. Pradhan,

Principal, VSBM and all the Co-ordinators, HODs,

Faculty and staff members of Vikash Group.

Vikashites explore the world of entrepreneurship

in form of Food Court for the first time on the

occasion of two days Annual Day Celebration,

Electra 2016. The aim was to develop and support

new and future entrepreneurs by developing a

marketable product, building the right team,

assessing demand opportunity, raising money and

creating value for customer and ventures, and to

create an entrepreneurial ambience in the campus.

The gathering enjoyed healthy, tasty, affordable

food served by the students.

ACHIEVEMENT

1. Student-researchers of Vikash Degree College, Final Year Physics Honors,

Ms. Rohini Meher, & Ms .Bidyutprabha Bhoi published a research paper ,

entitled “Effective Character Recognition using ANN & Convolution

Techniques.” in International Journal of Advanced Research in Science and

Technology (IJARST), Vol .5, Issue 3, Page 635-639 under the supervision of

Er. Purnendu Mishra, HOD ,Dept of ECE & Er. Pankaj Kumar, Lecturer in

ECE, VIT

2.Mr. Ram Chandra Barik, Head, Department of Computer Science &

Engineering, VIT successfully presented a research paper entitled as “Image

Texture Based New Cryptography Scheme Using Advance Encryption Standard”

in Springer international conference (ICCIDM'16)which is being organized by

School of Computer Science & Engineering, KIIT University on 10-11th

Dec

2016.

3. Mr. Barik, has been invited as reviewer by sixth edition of International

Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics

(ICACCI'17) (http://icacci-conference.org/2017/),Manipal University, Karnataka,

India to review upcoming research papers in the field of Image Processing,

Speech Signal processing, Bioinformatics , Machine Learning, Artificial

Intelligence.

Vikashites exhibited their potential in presenting their innovative project on

Skilling Odisha organized by BPUT, held on 28th October & 17th October

in two different stages at Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur.

Akankhya Barik and Snigdha Mahapatra of B.Tech. 3rd sem. of Vikash

Institute of Technology secured 3rd position in zonal level under the

guidance of Er. Pankaj Kumar, Lecturer in ECE and Er. Purnendu Mishra,

HOD ECE. The students are also selected to participate for state level

competition, held at DRIEMS, Cuttack.

Hons)published the research paper Dynamic Visualization Can Bring an Immense

Improvement in Traditional Teaching and Learning Process" under the guidance of

Prof.(Dr.) S. N. Panda and Mr.. R. C. Barik which is published by a popular Euro-Asian

journal "International Journal of Research in IT and Management ".

Student-researchers of VIT, Saipriya Rout, GanaramMahala, DineshNaik published a

paper , entitled as “A Experimental Study on Partial Replacement of Cement by RHA”

in International Journal of Engineering Research and Technology (IJERT), Vol .5,

Issue 11, Page :555-557; under the supervision of Mr. BalgopalGuru,Asst.Prof ,Dept of

Civil Engg.,VIT.

Miss. SnigdhaPriyambada , Asst. Prof, Dept of EEE, VIkash Institute of Technology has

published two papers entitled as “Fuzzy PID controller optimized TLBO approach on

AVR”, ”Performance.

Mr. KshamaSagarSahu, Received Medalian from Padmabibhusan Dr. K. Kasturirangan

(Former Chairman ISRO) for 3rd position in National level of ISTE-
