The workshop will focus on how to take authorityand orchestrate the visual elements of design tocommunicate artistic intent and produce a strongerpainting. PSA Workshop Payment & Refund Policy for all Workshops
1. For all workshops, full payment is required at thetime of registration to reserve your place in theworkshop. This is the only method to reserve aplace in a workshop. If a workshop is full, there willbe a wait list with admission based upon firstcome, first served.
2. If you cancel your reservation in a workshop 15days prior to the workshop, we will refund the fullworkshop fee.
3. If you cancel your reservation 14 days or fewerprior to the workshop, there is no refund unless we are able to fill the slot from a wait list. If thishappens, your fee will be returned minus a $50handling charge.
4. Cancellation notice to PSA is by email, fax, orphone during work hours only. PSA starts countingfrom the PSA receipt of the notice of cancellationduring office hours. Office hours are posted on theweb and on the office voice mail.

Master the medium of pastel. This class will intro-
duce you to the essential information needed to
draw and paint still life and landscape using pas-
tels. Demonstrations and individual instruction will
be given. Topics covered include fundamentals of
pastel, drawing, under painting, light and shadow,
composition, color theory, and basic perspective.

In this class, the award-winning instructor will
cover the basics: how to use color to achieve
harmonious effects and the use of the color
wheel. There will be an emphasis on organizing
the elements that make for a good composition.

The Pastel Society of America hasexpanded its critique services to betterserve the needs of member artists.Rather than one artist doing all evalua-tions, we now have four PSA-Master Pastelists with expertise indifferent genres, one of which may beparticularly relevant to the artist. For a$50 fee, artists will receive a 350word or more evaluation of their paint-ings, focusing on drawing, color,value, technique, and composition, allaimed at expanding artistic optionsand producing paintings of high com-petitive quality.
