Each year, schools and public libraries across Australia spend a week celebrating books and Australian authors and illustrators. This year Book Week is having its 70
th Anniversary and we will be
helping to celebrate with a range of exciting activities planned for the week commencing 24 August, and of course we want you to join in the fun.
Our celebrations will actually kick off a week earlier with a visit by a highly entertaining Adelaide Author – Mike Dumbleton.
Mike will be visiting us on Monday 17 August and will run sessions around his published books and how he gets ideas for his writing. All classes will be reading some of his books before he visits, so remember to ask your child their opinion of his books.
