HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK Dear Parents & Families Congratulaons to all our students who performed so strongly in our COLOURSS Swimming Carnival. Congratulaons to Lilly, Ruby and Kym who each earned a place in their races. Once again it was so encouraging to see such supporve cheering and sportsmanship. We have our last week of swimming on Tuesday, and request support from our Parent drivers to assist with the transporng of our students back to school at approx. 12pm. Please message or phone us if you are able to assist. The children are becoming stronger in their strokes and many are learning the correct swimming techniques to support them in future swimming events. Thank you again to all our parents who have and are assisng us, in providing this opportunity to our students. We had a very fruiul P & C meeng this week, and thank those that aended. We are moving forward with our 100 year celebraons and thank those that have already put their hand up to assist. If you can assist with the organising of this important school and community event, it will be greatly appreciated. We would like to organise a meeng as soon as possible, so if you are interested in being involved can you please message or phone us to inform us of your preferred day of the week. Remember, the more hands the lighter the work for all of us. We are full steam ahead with incorporang the SEMP (School Environment Management Plan) within our classes, the school and outside. This week we were very fortunate to have Dorroughby Environment Centre visit us and deliver an Aboriginal workshop & Bush Tucker garden planning acvity. The children joined into a talking circle, walked around our gardens to idenfy exisng edible naves and started our plans on the Nave Edible Garden, which we hope to unveil for the 100 year Celebraons. The children had the opportunity to taste Lemon myrtle tea as well as Davidsons Plums. Thank you to Dorroughby Environment Centre for this wonderful and informave day. We would also like to remind children to bring in a reusable water bole, which they can take into their classrooms. It has been so hot and humid, and we are finding children struggling with headaches and muscle aches. Hydraon is important for their bodies and for helping them concentrate in their classes. Rebecca Tapsco will be back on Monday to start the painng of the childrens mural. And Uncle Wayne and Vera, will be back tomorrow to finish their painng on the water tanks. David has been working hard karchering and painng in readiness for more murals to come. Thank you to each of you, we appreciate your help with beaufying the school in readiness for our guests in June. Have a wonderful weekend. HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK

Dear Parents & Families

Congratulations to all our students who performed so strongly in our COLOURSS Swimming Carnival. Congratulations to Lilly, Ruby and Kym who each earned a place in their races. Once again it was so encouraging to see such supportive cheering and sportsmanship.

We have our last week of swimming on Tuesday, and request support from our Parent drivers to assist with the transporting of our students back to school at approx. 12pm. Please message or phone us if you are able to assist. The children are becoming stronger in their strokes and many are learning the correct swimming techniques to support them in future swimming events. Thank you again to all our parents who have and are assisting us, in providing this opportunity to our students.

We had a very fruitful P & C meeting this week, and thank those that attended. We are moving forward with our 100 year celebrations and thank those that have already put their hand up to assist. If you can assist with the organising of this important school and community event, it will be greatly appreciated. We would like to organise a meeting as soon as possible, so if you are interested in being involved can you please message or phone us to inform us of your preferred day of the week. We are full steam ahead with incorporating the SEMP (School Environment Management Plan) within our classes, the school and outside. This week we were very fortunate to have Dorroughby Environment Centre visit us and deliver an Aboriginal workshop & Bush Tucker garden planning activity. The children joined into a talking circle, walked around our gardens to identify existing edible natives and started our plans on the Native Edible Garden, which we hope to unveil for the 100 year Celebrations. The children had the opportunity to taste Lemon myrtle tea as well as Davidson’s Plums. Thank you to Dorroughby Environment Centre for this wonderful and informative day.

We would also like to remind children to bring in a reusable water bottle, which they can take into their classrooms. It has been so hot and humid, and we are finding children struggling with headaches and muscle aches. Hydration is important for their bodies and for helping them concentrate in their classes.

Rebecca Tapscott will be back on Monday to start the painting of the children’s mural. And Uncle Wayne and Vera, will be back tomorrow to finish their painting on the water tanks. Thank you to each of you, we appreciate your help with beautifying the school in readiness for our guests in June.

Have a wonderful weekend. Kindest regards Joy Muller

COLOURSS SWIMMING CARNIVAL What a wonderful time the children had

at our carnival. The children were having fun, encouraging each other to do their

best and swam like fish!!!! To watch them grow in confidence in the water and see the improvement in skills over the years, is one of the many privileges we have of teaching and caring for your children.
