RATE POLICYAn advertiser is entitled to the local display advertis-ing rate when selling exclusively and directly to the

public through one or more retail stores owned en-tirely by the advertiser within the state of Louisiana.To qualify for a local rate, an association must: Be a bonade retail association buying and sellingas a group and not conceived for the sole purpose ofadvertising. Sell the same category of merchandise throughone or more retail outlets directly to the public. Offer, in common, all merchandise depicted in theadvertisement. Have one or more retail outlets within the state of

Louisiana. Advertise under the associations logotype. Agree to accept all billing.

An advertiser is entitled to the campus display ad-vertising rate if advertiser is a university department,registered club/organization or fraternity/sorority.

BILLINGThe Tech Talk runs on a monthly billing cycle.Payment is due within 30 days of bill date.

PRE-PRINT RATE AND POLICYThe Tech Talk does not accept inserts.

GROUP COMBINATION RATESNot applicable.

CLOSING TIMESAny copy received after deadline has no guaranteeof publication. Final ad space and artwork deadline

is Thursday morning of the week prior to publication.Final cancellation deadline is Friday morning of theweek prior to publication.

PRODUCTION INFORMATION The Tech Talk accepts ads submitted electronicallyin either JPEG (.jpg) or Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format.Submission in any other format is done at the adver-tisers risk. Ads submitted electronically should be via emailas attachments to [email protected] AND to

[email protected]. Camera-ready ads must be of a quality acceptableto the advertising and production staff.

COPY REGULATIONS All advertising is subject to approval by the Adver-tising Manager. Alcoholic beverage advertisements are accepted. The word Advertisement must be printed acrossthe top of any advertisement resembling editorial ornews matter.

The Tech Talk reserves the right to revise or reject,at our discretion, any advertisement which we deemobjectionable, whether for subject matter, graphics,phraseology or content. Price comparison advertising that mentions byname a specific store is subject to prior approval bythe advertising manager. All copy is subject to approval by the advertisingmanager.

Authors Alterations

Changes from original copy will be made only whentime permits and charged at the rate of $7.25 a quar-ter hour plus a $5 flat charge. These charges will onlygo into effect after a normal time based on ad size.

Errors Allowances for errors are given as monetary creditor reruns. The amount of allowance is based on the impact ofthe error as it affects the entire advertisement. Telephone or verbal instructions will not be

considered as a basis for adjustment unless theseinstructions are confirmed in writing by the advertiserbefore insertion. No allowances will be given for the omission of acomplete advertisement. The Tech Talk assumes noliability for such an omission. No allowance will be given if position requestscannot be honored.
