Toni Bou has a hard task ahead at the French GP

This weekend sees Repsol Honda Team head off to France to tackle the fifth date in

the FIM Trial World Championship calendar. The competition reaches its halfwa

sta!e with a tou!h trial for Toni Bou and team"mates Takahisa Fu#inami and $aime

Busto.

The race in %ndon& France looks all set to 'e a hard"fou!ht one for two reasons(

firstl& it)s where Bou)s nearest ri*al this season& %dam Ra!a& usuall comes awa

with fine results+ moreo*er& the e*ent takes place at altitude& some ,&- metres a'o*e

sea"le*el& which will re/uire the Repsol Honda Team rider to 'e at his sharpest to

maintain this season)s un'eaten run.

The Repsol Honda Team !oes into the GP intent on furtherin! Toni Bou)s four round

winnin! streak 0all ei!ht races1 as well as seekin! to impro*e on the results of

collea!ues Takahisa Fu#inami and $aime Busto. The $apanese rider sees e*er e*ent as

a new o'stacle to o*ercome as he endea*ours to recuperate from last ear)s seriousknee in#ur. 2o far in 3,- Fu#i!as has picked up some nota'le results whene*er the

knee has allowed the e4"champ to ride at his 'est. Meanwhile& Busto continues to

accumulate e4perience in his de'ut season in the top cate!or. The first season in

World Pro has seen the Bas/ue rider score results that will 'e hard to impro*e upon as

the second half of the championship !ets underwa.

The French GP will take place on 2aturda 35th and 2unda 36th and will 'e fou!ht

out o*er a ,3 kilometre course with ,3 sections to 'e completed o*er three laps. The

last of the riders heads out at midda.

marks the competition)s halfwa point.

 performance. Ma'e for me it won)t 'e as tou!h this weekend& as I li*e in %ndorra

and I train here& so I)m much more comforta'le at altitude. 2o I should 'e a'le to

adapt easil to the performance chan!es of the 'ike.

 =e*ertheless& I know that it will 'e a tou!h trial 'ecause %dam is on top form and heusuall !ets !ood results in France. It will 'e a trick 'attle.

This will 'e a special weekend as France has alwas li*ed and 'reathed trial and there

is alwas an enthusiastic pu'lic. The understand the sport and *alue !ood techni/ue.

I feel *er lo*ed here. I ha*en)t reall had that !ood results in the last few trials 'ut I

hope to make it 'ack onto the podium. France and %ndorra are alwas *erdemandin!& *er hi!h up and ou ha*e to 'e prepared for them.

$aime Busto

I)m psched up and moti*ated to keep up what we)*e done so far this season. We are

nearl at the calendar)s halfwa point and e*erthin! is !oin! well. In m first ear in

World Pro& I feel 'etter and 'etter all the time in the sections that are not so much to

m likin!. I don)t know what the sections will 'e like in the French trial& 'ut ou ha*e

to alwas do our 'est whate*er.
