How much are the vouchers worth?
Vouchers are for $1000 or $1500 toward a new wood stove replacing a wood stove; $2000 for a new EPA certified wood-pellet or gas stove; $4000 towards a new EPA Phase II (EPA qualified) hydronic heater or indoor gas furnace, or $300 for retrofitting an existing catalytic wood stove with new replacement catalyst. Special income qualified vouchers of $3000 are available to those who can show proof of current participation in the Low Income Heating Assistance Program, Women Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program, or state Medicaid program.
How do I qualify?
You must meet the following criteria:
• Be a resident and homeowner in the following states and counties:
• CT: New London and Windham• MA: Bristol, Norfolk and Plymouth• RI: Bristol, Kent, Newport,Providence and Washington
• Currently using an older non EPA-certified wood stove or hydronic heater
• Agree to turn in your old stove or hydronic heater and replace it with a new EPA-certified wood, pellet or gas stove.

old, high polluting and inefficient wood stoves or hydronic heaters with new EPA certified wood, pellet and gas stoves, or with an indoor gas furnace (when
recycling a hydronic heater).
Receive a cash voucher for a discount on the purchase of a new wood, pellet or gas stove when you turn in your old non-EPA certified wood stove. If recycling a hydronic heater vouchers can be used for a new wood, pellet or gas stove, or indoor gas furnace. coal stoves are NOT included in this program. Limited to one voucher per household. Workplaces are not eligible to apply.
