Jack and Lelani Travers and the Sunset Lakes crew are very excited to host the 2014 World Over 35 Waterski Championships, October 8 through the 12th. Over the last 41 years, we have hosted countless tournaments including the Disabled World Championships, the Junior World Champions and several Masters Last Chance Qualifiers, USA Open Team Trials, USA Junior Team Trials, and Pan Am Team Trials…

Sunset Lakes is located in Groveland, Florida, on 110 acres/50 hectares surrounded by rolling hills and live oak. It offers 3 private waterski lakes; all equipped with slalom courses, jump ramps, and one of the finest tournament approved towboats. All members of our professional staff are handpicked and trained by Jack and Lelani, to ensure our guests have a high quality, fun and safe waterski experience during their stay at Sunset Lakes. Moreover, we have many luxury villas and suites available for rent on site, as well as bunk houses for our more junior guests. A full kitchen service is provided, which includes 3 complete and diverse healthy meals, as well as healthy snacks available all day long. We also provide multiple fitness areas for all our guests to use at their convenience. Wi‐Fi Internet service is available throughout the site at a small fee.

MEALS Breakfast is included in the room rate at the Host Hotel every day. Lunch will be served to all contestants, officials, and a certain number of staff for each country and dignitaries. Dignitaries have an allowance for lunch with meeting at the hotel. Same applies for dignitaries for dinner. Banquet ticket is free to Appointed Officials and included in the entry fee for skiers. All others (including staff) must purchase their own ticket.

PRE OFFICIAL TRAINING It is possible to train on site from 01 September 2014 to 23 September 2014, at the cost of US $300 per hour. (No official MasterCraft towboats will be available during this time, but Sunset Lakes will have latest model top of the line tournament approved towboats) All training time must be reserved 3 months in advance of the event (Deadline is 08 July 2014). OFFICIAL PRACTICE The official practice will be held from 24 September 2014 to 7 October 2014 at the same cost. However, the times will be allotted equally per country, depending on the number of skiers and the events. Dates and times for training must be requested by email, PRIOR TO 15 AUGUST 2014 and will be published by 20 September 2014.

Regular sessions are Monday through Friday; the two‐day weekend session begins Saturday. Private lessons with Jack Travers or one of his staff are also available. All sessions may be arranged with or without room and board, if space is available. Sunset Lakes is located on 110 acres surrounded by rolling hills and live oak. The site consists of three man‐made lakes with slalom and jump courses and the best three‐event coaching and driving available. All boats are equipped with Zero‐Off speed control. On‐site accommodations include air conditioned/heated cabins equipped with TV's game room, and private seating areas as well as a full circuit gym. An overnight stay includes three meals, served in a casual family style atmosphere. The menu includes an abundance of fruits, salads, breads, vegetables, and desserts, along with a healthy entree. Demo equipment can be provided for you. Please specify what you’re looking to try out when making your booking. This will allow us time to get what you need and have it ready upon your arrival. Room and board consists of dormitory bunk style housing. Guests are placed 4 to a room with shower and bathroom. All linens, pillows, blankets, bathroom tissue and towels are provided.
