CAMP MASTER (kamp-mas-ter): one who ensures
their Scouts get to camp.
Each unit should have a Camp Master. The Camp Master’s Camp Card sale responsibilities are to
manage all aspects of the sale and clearly communicate sale information to your leaders, parents
and Scouts.
The Camp Master should be an expert on all things “camp”; they must ensure Scouts know the
myriad of summer camp opportunities available and are encouraged to attend. The Camp Master’s
ultimate goal; Get 100% of his or her Scouts to camp or other high adventure activities.
Camp Master responsibilities:
CAMP
• Be an expert in all Patriots’ Path Council summer
camp opportunities.
• Schedule a camp promotion kickoff meeting.
• Explain to parents the importance of summer
camp in Scouting!
• Set a goal for percentage of Scouts attending
camp and achieve it!
CARD • Communicate the purpose of the Camp Card
sale and the sale timeline to your Scouts and parents.
• Kick-off the Camp Card sale with a BANG, providing all members with a sales kit and at least
twenty cards.
• Collect all money and turn in the amount due on time.

Here is how the program works . . . • The unit places its order for Camp Cards in January. • The Camp Cards are delivered to the unit in February. • The Camp Master explains the camp card program to the Scouts and helps
them set a goal for the amount they want to earn. • The Scouts sell the cards through May 8, 2014 • If a customer wants to pay for a card(s) with a check, the check must be
made out to the unit, NOT Patriots’ Path Council. • The unit returns any unused cards and payment for the sold cards no later
than May 15, 2014 to the Cedar Knolls office. • Here is how the 50% commission is earned:
30% for placing an order 20% for the on time settlement of the order, no later than 5:00 pm, May 15, 2014.
• The unit only pays the $2.50 per card sold, checks are made payable to
Patriots’ Path Council. I have read the points above and we agree to follow the plan. Signature __________________________________________
