PRINCETON, N.J. - Sophomore Karlie Zabrosky (Erie, Pa.) led the Seton Hall women’s golf
team at 18-over-par to a seventh place team fi nish at the 2013 Princeton Invitational at
Springdale Golf Club. As a team, Seton Hall uncharacteristically struggled at Princeton
this weekend. Zabrosky was the lone Pirate to submit two sub-80 scores. She fi nished
the three-round event with an 18-over-par, 82-75-77-234, to place 21st among 51 in-
dividual golfers. After a disappointing 47-over-par fi rst round performance, the Pirates
rebounded to shoot a pair of 311’s in rounds two and three. They fi nished 93-over par
with a 335-311-311-957, 74 strokes behind the team champion, Harvard.

NEW HAVEN, CONN. - Junior Erin McClure (Tucson, Ariz.) fi red a fi nal round 74 to help
lead the Seton Hall women’s golf team to a fourth place team fi nish among 17 compet-
itors at the 2013 Yale Women’s Intercollegiate. McClure fi nished with an 8-over-par,
76-71-74-221, to tie for seventh place among 91 individual competitors. It’s her sec-
ond top-10 fi nish in three tournaments already this fall. McClure entered the season
with just two top-10 fi nishes in each of the prior two years. As a team, the Pirates
methodically moved up the leader board as the tournament progressed. Seton Hall was
in ninth place following round one, but moved up to fi fth place after its record-low, 290,
in round two. In round three, the Pirates shot an 18-over-par, 302, the second-best third
round score, to move up to fourth place. Host Yale won the team title at 22-over-par. Se-
ton Hall’s lone BIG EAST competition, Xavier, fi nished second at 41-over-par. After two
tournaments to start the fall that were uncharacteristic of her ability, Hannah Basalone
(Brea, Calif.) rebounded strongly at Yale. The senior tied for 13th place overall with a
12-over-par, 79-71-75-225. Junior Ali Kruse (Overland Park, Kan.) tied for 16th overall
following her 13-over-par, 78-70-78-226. Seton Hall’s top competitor at Princeton last
weekend, Karlie Zabrosky (Erie, Pa.), tied for 29th overall at Yale with a 19-over-par, 78-
79-75-232. Megan Tenhundfeld (Loveland, Ohio) rounded out the Pirates’ team scoring
with a 22-over-par, 79-78-78-235. All fi ve Seton Hall golfers that contributed to the
team score this weekend avoided a score in the 80s in all three rounds. Junior McKenzie
Cutter (Waldorf, Md.), competing as an individual this weekend, fi nished her tourna-
ment at 28-over-par with a 78-81-82-241.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Junior Erin McClure (Tucson, Ariz.) became the third player in Seton
Hall women’s golf history to win an individual championship with a one-stroke victory
at the 2013 Rutgers Women’s Invitational on Tuesday. As a team, the Pirates fi nished
second among 17 participants. McClure joins teammates Hannah Basalone (Brea, Calif.)
and Ali Kruse (Overland Park, Kan.) as the only individual champions in the program’s
young three and a half year history. She fi red identical 1-over-par, 73’s, to fi nish at
2-over-par with a 146, one stroke ahead of LIU’s Marison Doglioli and Delaware’s Aman-
da Terzian. McClure’s tournament total of 146 is the lowest par-72, two-round score in
Seton Hall history and her 2-over-par score is a personal career-best. It’s been a banner
fall season for the Pirates’ junior who leads the team in scoring average and is the reign-
ing BIG EAST Golfer of the Week.

MILFORD, CONN. - Junior Ali Kruse (Overland Park, Kan.) lost in a playoff for the individual champi-
onship, but her impressive eff ort was good enough to spearhead a team victory for the Seton Hall
women’s golf team at the 2013 Sacred Heart Fall Classic on Monday. The team victory is the third
in the young history of the Seton Hall women’s golf program. The Pirates defeated second-place
Yale by 10 strokes in their fi rst-ever appearance in this tournament. For the two-day event, Seton
Hall shot a 53-over-par, 309-320-629. Kruse, the tournament’s individual leader after day one,
shot an 11-over-par, 83, in round two which forced a playoff with a pair of Yale golfers, Elisabeth
Bernabe and Sandy Wongwaiwate. Her bogey on the fi rst playoff hole ensured that Seton Hall
wouldn’t get the rare “double win,” but nonetheless provides Kruse with her ninth career top-10
fi nish.

hundfeld (Loveland, Ohio) each shot a 5-over-par, 77, to lead the Seton Hall women’s
golf team in Monday’s fi nal round of the 2013 Lehigh University Invitational. As a
team, the Pirates fi nished third. Collectively, Seton Hall fi nished the tournament with
a 41-over-par, 306-311-617, to place third among the fi eld of nine teams. The Pirates
fi nished 17 strokes behind the team champion, Harvard, and fi ve strokes behind Princ-
eton for second place. Seton Hall’s lone BIG EAST competition, Georgetown, fi nished in
a tie for fourth place 16 strokes behind the Pirates. Juniors Ali Kruse (Overland Park,

of which are Seton Hall career records. McClure tallied a 73-79-152. Her fi rst-round 73
was the lowest single-round for a Seton Hall golfer this weekend. McClure’s fi nish is her
team-best third top-5 of the fall season. Both fi nished 10 strokes behind the individual
champion, Princeton’s Kelly Shon. Tenhundfeld had her best tournament of the fall with
a 9-over-par, 76-77-153, and tied for ninth overall. Sophomore Karlie Zabrosky (Erie,

Hall women’s golf history with a 4-under-par, 68, in the fi nal round of the University of Cincinnati

2014 BIG EAST CHAMPIONSHIP
SETON HALL CLAIMS TITLE
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Seton Hall completed a wire-to-wire lead to win the crown at the 2014 BIG EAST Wom-en’s Golf Championships presented by NEW YORK LIFE on the Hills Course at LPGA International here Saturday afternoon.
The Pirates, in just their fourth year as a varsity pro-gram, secure the BIG EAST’s automatic bid to the NCAA Championships. Seton Hall will learn its destination in the regionals on Monday, April 28. The regionals take place May 8-10.
St. John’s senior Harin Lee held off the fi eld and claimed the 2014 BIG EAST individual title after gutting out a 6-over-par 78. She entered the day 4-over for the tournament and fi nished with a 54-hole score of 226 to card a 10-over for the tournament. It’s Harin’s second BIG EAST individual title. She claimed the 2011 title as a freshman after winning a playoff .
Nursing a 13-stroke advantage after 36 holes, Seton Hall had to fend off late charges from Georgetown, St. John’s and Xavier. The Pirates fi nished with a three-round total of 928, ahead of the Hoyas in second with 935, St. John’s in third at 937 and fourth-place Xavier, which fi nished with 939 strokes.
Creighton fi nished in fi fth with a score of 972 and Butler was sixth 979.
Xavier, which entered the tournament as the top seed, showed why it had earned that distinction with a third-round 304 and was the day’s biggest mover. Ariel McNair carded the low round of the tournament with a 69 Saturday, which included four birdies and one bogey. Abigail Smith fi nished with a three-round 236 (84-75-76) along with McNair’s 230 (80-81-69) to lead the Musketeers’ charge. But Georgetown was able to hold off not only Xavier but also St. John’s for runner-up honors. Mackenzie Boydston shot 77 to fi nish with a 229 (79-73-77) for the championship and claimed one of fi ve pieces of second place in the individual standings. Patricia Lee fi nished with a 231 after carding Saturday’s 74. She shot 81-76 on Thursday and Friday.
Lee’s teammate Anna Kim shot 73 Saturday to fi nish in that four-way tie for second at 229 (77-79). Joining her were Seton Hall’s Erin McClure (77-76-76) and Megan Tenhundfeld (79-73-77).
Butler was led for the third straight day by Jenna Peters, who also tied for second with a 229 (78-74-77).

Golfers will fi nd challenges at every turn on the signature Arthur Hills Course.
The par-72 layout is a classic at 6,984 yards. Hills used a superb natural set-
ting to create a masterpiece in playability and variety. It features natural
wetlands, narrow pine corridors, small greens and strategically placed water
hazards. The Hills Course calls for the player to use mind over muscles. Good
strategic planning rewards the player with good results and an enjoyable
round. Each hole is unique and memorable. The Hills Course, played from
the proper tees, poses an appropriate challenge to more accomplished play-
ers and fairness to high handicappers, seniors, women and junior golfers.

2014 BIG EAST CHAMPIONSHIP
PIRATES WIN FIRST TITLEMcCLURE, TENHUNDFELD TIE FOR 2ND
DAYTONA BEACH, FLA.- A program that began only four years
ago, the Seton Hall women’s golf team has won the 2014 BIG
EAST Championship. The Pirates defeated the rest of the new-
look BIG EAST fi eld by seven strokes to claim its fi rst confer-
ence title on Saturday.
Seton Hall led the three-round event wire-to-wire and en-
tered Saturday’s fi nal round leading by 13 strokes. The Pirates
fi red a 24-over-par, 312, in round three to comfortably win
the title by seven strokes over Georgetown. The Hall fi nishes
the event at 64-over-par, with a 314-302-312-928. George-
town fi nished at 71-over-par, while St. John’s was third at
73-over-par.
“I am ecstatic for our team,” said Head Coach Sara Doell. “This
is proof that hard work and determination pays off in the end.
I am truly overwhelmed with pride right now.”
The title is Seton Hall’s fi rst team championship since the
baseball team won the 2011 BIG EAST Championship.
Erin McClure (Tucson, Ariz.) and Megan Tenhundfeld (Love-
land, Ohio) led the Pirates in Saturday’s fi nal round. McClure
shot a 4-over-par, 76, while Tenhunfeld fi red a 5-over-par,
77. Both golfers tied for second place among all individual
golfers. They fi nished the three-round event three strokes
behind Harin Lee of St. John’s, who won the individual cham-
pionship for the second time in her impressive career.
McClure fi nished the three-round event with a very consis-
tent 13-over-par, 77-76-76-229, while Tenhundfeld was
13-over-par with a 79-73-77-229.
Ali Kruse (Overland Park, Kan.)placed ninth overall with a
16-over-par, 78-74-80-232. Kruse led Seton Hall in scoring
average this year, has an individual tournament champion-
ship and now can add a BIG EAST title to her impressive list
of career accolades.
Senior Hannah Basalone (Brea, Calif.), arguably the program’s
most decorated golfer in history, graduates as a champion af-
ter being one of the founding members of the team in 2010.
Basalone tied for 13th place among all individual golfers
with a 22-over-par, 80-79-79-238.
“I still can’t really believe we just won,” Basalone said. “To see
this program develop and be a part of it from the very begin-
ning has been so cool. If you had told me four years ago we’d
win the BIG EAST before I graduated, I probably wouldn’t
have believed you. I’m so proud of my entire team for what
we’ve been able to accomplish. I couldn’t think of a better
way to end my time at Seton Hall.”
