brand new buddy and befriending service!
DISS-COVER BUDDIES is a joint project between The Art Of Life and
Macmillan and becoming a volunteer buddy is a powerful way to make life
better for everyone affected by cancer.
If you have a few hours to spare and would like to offer your time and
energy to supporting others, we’d love to meet you at our launch to tell you
more about this unique project. Do invite anyone else along that might
be interested. Free refreshments throughout the evening.

WHAT’S ON IN 2013/2014
THE ART OF LIFE
CREATIVE MOON 5th November 2013Following on from our September ‘Retreat’ and back by popular demand, we shall be inviting you to participate in relaxation techniques prior to a facilitated visualization that uses the Moon as a catalyst for your creativity. All our sessions are designed to help you regulate your breathing, de-stress and get in-touch with your inner emotions, allowing your hands to do the talking when words fail.
CHRISTMAS PARTY PAMPER 3rd December 2013Look good, feel fabulous as the Christmas season approaches. These afternoon pamper sessions are guaranteed to make you feel your best in times of stress. From manicures, facials to hand and foot massage, personal style advice, reflexology, indian head massage and more, come along and let us provide some much needed emotional TLC through physical well-being.
NOURISH WITH NATURE 14th January 2014Having cancer often means that you suffer from low blood sugar levels. Come along and meet Nutritional Therapist Catherine Jeans and Herbalist Alexandra Hobbs who will advise you how to pack your diet full of beneficial nutrients for optimum health. Session includes sampling the freshly prepared food and drinks and making your own herbal teas and bath bombs!
IMAGE CONFIDENT 4th February 2014Run by a professional image consultant Jay and assisted by local Hairdresser Becca, this savvy style session will teach you which colours to wear to make you look and feel fab, what body shape you are and how to dress it for optimum impact, hairstyles that suit your face shape and much more.
All sessions open to general public - £6.50 per person
Priory reserved for people living with cancer, their families and caregivers for minimum £2.00 donation per person
