2013 Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) The 2013 Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) provides data for monitoring the population and health situation in Nigeria. The 2013 NDHS is the fifth Demographic and Health Survey conducted in the country. Repeated surveys allow for an analysis of trends over time. The survey is based on a nationally representative sample. It provides estimates at the national level, geo-political zones, urban-rural breakdown, 36 states, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).     NigeriaThe 2013 Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) was implemented by the National Population Commission (NPC). ICF International provided financial and technical assistance for the survey through USAID-funded MEASURE DHS program, which is designed to assist developing countries to collect data on fertility, family planning, and maternal and child health. Financial support for the survey was provided by USAID, the United Kingdom Department for International Development (DFID) through PATHS2, and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
