Growing in Faith – It’s What We’re About!

Growing in Faith – It’s What We’re About!

How does Highlands differ from a regular summer camp you might ask? In addition to being committed to safety and fun like other camps, at Highlands we are solidly committed to sharing the love of Jesus Christ in an outdoor setting. We feature Christ centered daily Bible studies, worship, and campfire experiences led by our trained and expert staff. Our programs are enhanced by the beauty of God’s creation in which we are able to explore, learn, and grow. It is our goal to help your child grow in faith when they are at Highlands and that is what sets us apart!

FAQ’s

How are cabin assignments made? For the best camping experience, campers will be assigned to their cabin based on their selection of camp, roommate request, and appropriate grade entered as of summer 2013. Remember, if you request someone as a roommate, they must be participating in the same camp and also request to have you as a roommate. While we cannot guarantee your roommate request, we will work diligently to accommodate it.

Camp FeesYour fees to camp provide an all-inclusive experience for your

camper. All meals and snacks, lodging, activities, supplies, and a 5x7 group picture are included with your camp fees. No additional money is required for campers once they arrive.

T iered Pricing: A New Initiative This YearRealizing that families have different abilities to pay, Highlands has instituted

a voluntary three-tier fee program. You may choose the tier that is most suitable for your family. It is really an honor system; you tell us what is affordable for your family. All campers receive the same Highlands experience no matter what they pay. For those families that cannot afford Tier 1, additional scholarship funds are available to ensure that all children have the opportunity to attend Highland high quality summer camps!

Tier I: Is our historically subsidized rate and does not reflect the true cost of operating summer camp programs.

Tier II: Is our partially subsidized fee for those who can pay a little more but still cannot afford the actual cost of camp.

Tier III: More closely accounts for the true costs of camp including wear and tear on building and grounds (Note that our Adventure Camps are still partially subsidized even at this tier).

Our Goals for Tiered Pricing• To provide the highest quality programs possible• To serve all community income levels• To preserve camp for generations to come

Again, please note that this program is VOLUNTARY and in no way influences the experience children receive, yet it offers the opportunity for families to take an active role in supporting the true cost of their child’s camp experience.

Discount ProgramIf you love Highlands summer programs and want to share the

experience with others, then share this brochure with your friends and family members. For EACH new first-time camper (outside your immediate family) that registers for Summer Camp, you will receive $25 off of your camp fees. Want to learn even more? Then check out our website (www.highlandscamp.org) to learn more about Highlands Camp Parties!
