THREAD

TOOL INCLUDEDMany o our silencers are easily disassembled or cleaning and

maintenance using the provided tool(s).

THREAD MOUNTThread mount silencers rely on the traditional arrangement o screw

threads to join a silencer to the muzzle o the host frearm. This simple

and robust system is most commonly ound on rimfre and centerfre

pistol silencers, and some centerfre rie silencers. The advantages o

the thread mount are lower cost compared to ast-attach silencers andthe versatility o being able to use one silencer on multiple hosts with

the same muzzle threads.

RATCHET MOUNT (51T)The revolutionary Ratchet Mount System is the most intuitive

silencer mounting system available. Users are able to securely install

the silencer on the weapon in under three seconds with one hand and

without the use o tools. A spring biased ratchet latch engages teeth

on the mount and prevents the silencer rom loosening during use.

To combat ouling, the very action o dismounting a Ratchet Mount

silencer breaks the bonds o copper and carbon that can solder less

inspired silencer designs to their muzzle devices. Installation is as

simple as threading the silencer onto the mounts ACME threads until

tight. Removal requires a squeeze o the ratchet latch lever while

unscrewing the silencer.

RATCHET MOUNT (90T)I the 51 tooth Ratchet Mount system was revolutionary, the new

90 tooth Ratchet Mount is evolutionary. Based on eedback rom

customers, AAC designers confgured a new amily o BLACKOUT

ash hiders and muzzle brakes with a 90 tooth gear and revised

bearing surace. This revised mounting geometry provides a rock-solid

interace between the silencer and host frearm, reducing point oimpact shit and enhancing accuracy.

My rst exposure to a modern rearms silencer design was about

1985. My old department hosted a SWAT demo that included

a MP5SD 9mm sub-machine gun. The MP5SD is an integrally

suppressed design that was AMAZING. Ater that I was hooked.

I never wanted to shoot a loud gun again. Loud Guns Suck!

I am the biggest an o the 300 AAC BLACKOUT cartridges there

is. The 300BLK is the cartridge I always wanted. Not only does

it give you the size and sound o the MP5SD platorm, but our

MPW 9 PDW is about a pound and a hal lighter as well. BUT, the

300 AAC BLACKOUT also has the ability to re ull power rife

ammunition as well, something the MP5SD could never do.

DESIGN & MATERIALS

There is more to a successul silencer design than

lathe turning a handul o parts that ft together,

disrupt gas ow, and look good on the end o your

avorite roscoe. O equal importance is the materialin which the silencer is rendered. Application

awareness and painstaking research are necessary

to determine i stainless steel, Inconel, aluminum,

Titanium, or a combination thereo is warranted to

provide a product that will meet the perormance and

durability expectations o the customer.

The R&D department at AAC is responsible or

asking the tough questions and coming up w ith the

answers. Our R&D sta is an interesting group o

thinkers rom diverse backgrounds and disciplines

under whose unique ocus no design challenge stands

a chance.

Hours are spent analyzing the perormance o

prototypes and the inuence they have on the host

frearm. Sound perormance is captured, examined,

and archived or uture analysis using a Brell and

Kjaer digital pulse system designed in conjunction

R&D also calculate the optimum wall thickness o

the outer tube to provide the greatest strength and

durability with the least amount o accuracy-robbing

heat mirage.

TECHNOLOGY HIGHLIGHTS

Circumferential Robotic Fusion Welding

AAC pioneered the use o robotic welders to

improve production throughput and insure theconsistency and strength o our welding processes.

The custom designed CNC welders used at AAC

apply a circumerential usion weld at the junction

o each bae and adjacent structural component.

The end result is a welded array o components with

the same structural integrity as a monolithic core

machined rom a solid billet.

Electro Discharge Machine (EDM) Taper Bore

The heat rom even the most consistently controlled

welding process can induce stresses and distortion

in a welded assembly. To ensure the projectile paththrough the silencer is concentric with the bore o the

host frearm, all AAC rie silencers are installed on

fxtures that mimic the mounting architecture o the

rie muzzle threads or ast-attach mount. While held

in precise alignment, the fnal tapered projectile path

is cut using a wire EDM process that leaves no burrs

or debris in the silencer.

know a design until you destroy it, we perorm a

comprehensive postmortem examination on thewreckage using a scanning electron microscope.

Knowing what it takes to break your invention is one

The interior o a 5.56mm rie silencer is a hostile

environment o blow-torch temperatures rom super-

heated muzzle gasses and ying supersonic particles

o unburned gun powder. The bae cores in all

AAC 5.56mm and 7.62mm ast-attach silencers are

made rom Inconel 718. This special grade o high

nickel alloy is used in jet engines, Formula 1 cylinder

heads, and by NASA in rocket motors. Inconel 718

is expensive and difcult to orm and machine, but

a lesser grade o material would all short o our

customers expectations or durability.

The attention to correct material selection doesnt

stop with the baes. Using long equations that look

ITS A SILENCER!!

In 1908, Hiram P. Maxim, son o machine gun inventor HiramS. Maxim, realized that his shooting may be disruptive to theneighbors. Maxim, a considerate genius with a degree in mechanicalengineering rom MIT, developed the frst silent fre arm, with what called a Silencer. Essentially, Maxims invention worked the

same as a muer on a car. Hot and oten still burning gas ies out othe gun and rapidly expands in the air at supersonic speed, creating aBANG when a shot is fred.

Maxim realized that i he could trap that gas in a confned space andallow it to cool as it expanded through a series o baes, the soundo the rapidly heated air could be reduced.

Maxims invention was extraordinarily popular and could be bought at

local hardware stores or through the mail or $3.25. Even thoughMaxim stopped production o frearm silencers in 1930, his design

remains as the oundation or every silencer made.

These eature rich 300 AAC BLACKOUT upper receiver assemblies drop right onto an existing AR lower receiver. Please note that users must possess an approved tax stamp or a short barreled rife prior to

installing a 9 or 12.5 upper receiver assembly on their lower receiver.

The 300 AAC BLACKOUT cartridge is a .30 caliber solution or the AR-15 platorm that simply requires changing the barrel. All other components rom a mil-spec AR-15 are compatible with the 300 BLK

cartridge, right down to the magazines which unction perectly with no reduction in capacity. The 300 BLK cartridge has as much energy rom a 16 barrel as 223/5.56mm does rom a 24 barrel. Even rom a 10

barrel, 300 BLK matches the energy o 223/5.56mm rom a 16 barrel, but with a much heavier payload or improved terminal ballistics and enhanced perormance through intermediate barriers.

This highly ecient cartridge uses less propellant than 5.56mm ammunition, resulting in a rife that is sot shooting with ull power ammunition in short barreled CQB congurations. Less powder makes the 300

BLK cartridge uniquely suited or use with a silencer. A 9 barreled AAC MPW with an AAC 762-SDN-6 silencer has an overall sound signature o 129 dB with 220-grain subsonic ammunition. This compares very

avorably to the MP5-SD in terms o sound signature, but drastically outperorms the MP5-SD in terms o energy translation (a 220-grain subsonic Sierra OTM vs. a 123 grain subsonic 9mm ball round).

I you judge the max eective range o 300 BLK based on the U.S. Army M4 hit probability o 500 yards, its clear to see 300 BLK is ideal or law enorcement and military use, home deense, and hunting. The

Barnes Black Tip 110-grain T-TSX round has a fat enough trajectory that no sight adjustments are necessary rom 0 to 230 yards. The act this round expands to more than hal an inch at 300 yards when red rom

a 9 barrel clearly puts the advantages o 300 BLK in perspective.

Armament Corp. and its afliates discretion, service, repair, and/or replacement o damaged products caused by normal use.

This warranty does not cover damage to the silencer and/or host frearm resulting in whole or in part rom criminal, abusive or negligent use, improper or careless handling, unauthorized

modifcations, deective, improper hand-loaded or reloaded ammunition, or neglect. Any repairs to the unit made necessary by these actors will be invoiced to the owner. Further, bae strikes

which are not due to a deect in workmanship are not covered by this warranty. Centerfre rie caliber silencers are not warranted or use on barrels less than 10.5 in length.

Negligent or abusive use is defned as utilizing the silencer in a way that is likely to result in premature wear or damage to either the silencer or the host frearm. Further, the warranty does not

cover prohibited usage as described in our various owners manuals.
