Mr Hans Lehtinen (Finland)Mr Hans Lehtinen is Finland’s most prominent international all-rounder whose judging career has spanned more than five decades since 1953, when he was approved for his first breed, dachshunds, as the youngest-ever judge licensed in Finland.Over the years, his judging assignments have taken him regularly to all continents and to the most prestigious shows in the world, starting with Sydney Royal Show in Australia (a show he has judged seven times) and the FCI World Dog Shows to group assignments as Cruft’s in Britain and to a number of all-breed shows and breed specialties in the United States. In the US, his most recent prestige assignment was judging Best in Show at Montgomery County.Mr Lehtinen began his involvement in dogs with English Cocker Spaniels, followed by Schnauzers and Norwich Terriers. An honorary member of the Finnish Kennel Club, he has served on a variety of Kennel Club committees from the Breed Standard Committee to judges’ Education and Show Committee. He continues to be involved with many breeds clubs in their judge’s education and examination programs.

Mr Gerard O’Shea (Sweden)At the age of 14 Gerard with the help of his family purchased his first pedigree dog, a Rottweiler, that he named Kane. Kane was an especially strong willed dog, and Gerard learned some very early lessons in the art of handling dogs through his experiences with Kane. With time and more experience, Gerard finally purchased his first successful show dog. Through his teenage years he became more and more involved with the Rottweiler Club of Ireland and eventually becoming a committee member, and in his twenties held the position of club chairman for many years. Before moving to Sweden Gerard had partnership in the successful show kennel called Everready, in which he gained experience handling utility, toy and working breeds. He became a championship show judge in 1991 and today has experienced judging the world over. After moving to Sweden in 1995 where Gerard currently lives with his wife and two children. Gaining experience from a new dog culture, and one year experienced with the Swedish Military Dog School, Gerard decided to open his company Your Dog Sweden. Over time he developed a steady flow of customers throughout Scandinavia, Europe and America. With his never ending quest for knowledge and new techniques, Gerard has developed many new techniques in the art of handling and developing the competitive dog. As a lecturer Gerard has also been very successful running all breed anatomy courses and workshops, breed specific workshops combined with breed specific movement and anatomy, concentrating mainly on teaching dog people to understand and describe what we see when judging dogs.
