Workshop is from 9:30 am - 4:00 pm9:00 am registration - (Lunch included)
David Richo, Ph.D., M.F.T., teacher, workshop leader, and writer, works as a psychotherapist in Santa Barbara and San Francisco, California. He combines Jungian, transpersonal, andmythic perspectives in his work. His books include, How To Be An Adult In
Relationships: The Five Keys To Mindful Loving (Shambhala, 2001), The Five Things We Cannot Change And The Happiness We Find By EmbracingThem (Shambhala, 2005), and When The Past IsPresent: Healing The Emotional Wounds ThatSabotage Our Relationships (Shambhala, 2008).
This workshop will explore the following:1. What is religion?2. What is spirituality?3. What is faith?4. What does genuine adult spirituality look like?5. A look at the mystery and metaphor of God.
We will also look at how a mature faith is nourished by religious views that are open-minded rather than provincial, metaphorical rather than literal, and respectful of individuality rather than rigid and rule bound.
