God’s Covenant with Abram

• God initiated his treaty with Abram

• Gen. 15:6

 – Abram believed the Lord and he credited it to him as

righteousness.

• Gal. 3:29

 – if you belong to Christ , then you are Abraham’s seed and

heirs according to promise.

Focus on Divine-Human relationship

• The law is to reveal God’s holy character:

 – He is a jealous God, a holy God, just• INTENT, MOTIVE, THOUGHT always included 

in the commands.
