Further more, we had a presence at the Russian Golden Autumn Show in Mos- cow via the Canadian Beef Council. While the CLA chose not to send a representative on site, we invested in the translation of a promotional brochure that was made avail- able in Russian at the show. PERFORMANCE INFORMATION November 1st was the deadline to submit all performance infor- mation for the Spring 2011 genetic evalu- ations. eral. She has participated in the Rivers 4-H Beef Club for five years and has selected a Limousin steer every year. Her involvement with the Manitoba Junior Limousin Associa-tion includes the treasurer position for two years, vice president, and she cur-rently holds the position of president. She also participated in the planning and organization of the Canadian Ju-nior National Conference held in Vird-en last year. She has also had the privilege of attending three National Junior shows in Weyburn Saskatchewan, Portage la Prairie Manitoba, and Vird-en Manitoba. The Limousin Breed has benefited Cara in many ways. It has provided her with many new friend-

ships, knowledge of the cattle indus-try, as well as leadership and commu-nication skills that will benefit me in my future. Cara is currently a student at Brandon University and taking a Bachelor of Arts and then going into education.

Canadian Junior Limousin Scholarship

The Canadian Junior Limou-sin Association is pleased to award a scholarship to Cara Wedderburn from Alexander, Manitoba. Cara has lived on a beef cattle farm that specializes in raising pure-bred Limousin cattle where she has come to appreciate the benefits of the Limousin breed. She is involved in the Rivers 4-H Beef Club, the Mani-toba Junior Limousin Association, as well as the agriculture industry in gen-

sPring sale PreParation It is never too early to start preparing for your Spring Sale. Here are a few useful reminders:

Whether you are an on-line user or use the traditional paper forms, please remember that all cows without a disposal code will be enrolled. Once you enroll a female, you are commit-

ted to the full fees for the year (ex-ception for heifers).

Remember we are offering an early bird credit this year. The deadline is pushed to January 15th and late penalties start on the 16th.

If you are purchasing fe-males this fall, you may enroll them by adding them at the end of your forms. On-line users please call or email Teresa to make ar-rangements.
