SHORT HISTORY_

Our parent company Civilian Lab® has a number of years experience manufac-turing top quality outdoor adventure, ex-treme sport, and travel gear in innovative configurations and form factors. It’s had countless users asking over those years for tactical and professional versions of that gear. A number of our customers have in-deed snipped off the iconic orange Civil-ian® tags and brought their products into professional field use and the combat are-na. Whether at FBI headquarters in Quanti-co Virginia, a medevac helicopter service in the American Midwest, Iraq, or aboard an Airforce spy plane, Hazard 4® DNA has served there. This line is our response to the wishes of the selfless few putting themselves on the line as a daily part of their job, and extensively incorporates their input. We hope our customers will benefit from it in all their endeavors which involve our prod-ucts; We bring you in the following pages what we know to be a top-flight accessory line deserving of top-flight professionals.

All packs, bags, and apparel found in these pages share features that are currently the industry gold-standard when durability, function and performance are discussed. Consider buying other manufacturer’s lines in this class (which may retail for less,) but on all measures of quality they will be inferior. So make the considered choice by carrying a Hazard4® product and you will have confidence knowing that you are us-ing the best technology/designs available.

1_ Most brands use tough, water-shedding fabric, but many are so harsh they shred clothing/skin. Ours lasts years but is also chosen for its soft-touch.

2_ Don’t give away your position by jangling your zipper pullers. Ours are silent, easy to pull with gloves on, and are field-serviceable.

3_ Professional/tactical gear has lots of webbing, so its strength is critical. All of ours are sewn on with zig-zag-like stitch blocks called bar-tacking. These will not unwind like straight line stitching.

4_ Bag areas that get high wear-and-tear de-serve to be protected more. So we not only use polymer fabrics on bag bottoms, but also any-where else that will get scratched and scuffed.

5_ Cutting out a space and sewing in a loop-fastener panel from behind reduces weight, and the insert cannot fray or be peeled off with use.

6_ Embroidered patches/tags get dirty & fray over time. Our external tags are washable 3-d rubber.

7_ Critical joints sewn blind into edges without re-inforcement, or with a stitch-line can fail. We use box-tacks that can be quality checked and last.

8_ Once a buckle or d-ring etc. fails it can make the bag it serves virtually unusable, and impossible to repair. We use only the best hardware brands.A zipper blow-out is frequently the most serious failure a bag can suffer. YKK® is known the world over as the only zipper brand to trust. So we do.

9_ While we provide many pockets for all your supplies, we always leave canvas-like areas of modular pals/molle arrays for lots of customizing.

10_ A tactical look is cool, but sometimes pros need to blend in. Many of our products are stealthy designs and can present themselves as unassuming civilian gear. We also use minimal tags - an ideal look for uniformed carry. Our Civilian® branded accessories in travel/sport fab-rics and colors can also be combined with Hazard 4®

gear to soften its appearance; You will look just at home on a ski-hill as on an assignment in a war zone.

The messenger-bag version of our ver-satile ditch™ bag (previous page,) can load-out numerous modular contain-ers on the front surface, but keep them hidden/protected under the unassum-ing flap. The flap compresses bulk with oversized lock-buckle-straps (which are also removable from the bag.) The flap itself can be removed from the bag in a few seconds (it is mounted on the rear with an ingenious flat-lock system.) It has a large loop-fastener area which also fits our available i.d. win-dow patch. The patch can be secured to the flap w/ our Civilian® Rewind™ cable gear retractor (see next page.)

An example from our Civilian® brandedline of travel/outdoor gear, this unique chest-pack attaches to the vertical straps on most backpacks and allows the user to access frequently needed items with ease. The styling is definitively high-tech and sporty vs. rugged and tactical. But the front molle array sys-tem reveals how it can be used to rack-up gear without attracting attention.There is also an available padded 4-way chest harness which can com-bine with a molle adapter set to fit any molle product as a chest-pack.

The set of pouches visible on the front are also from this series and attach with our molle-standard fastener straps. They also have tactical capabilities to carry magazines, water bottles, radios etc. without giving too much away.And can be attached to our black bags to ‘soften’ down the ‘tactical’ look.

Being jammed in confined spaces for hours is an unfortunate part of the business for many professionals we serve. Whether it’s a military unit in an a.p.c., a pilot in a cock-pit, drivers in a HumVee, or a journalist in the back of a goat truck, they all have to bring their gear. And they all may need to ‘relocate’ in a hurry. This is the environment for which our Evac™ line of sling packs has been geared. They are slim shaped to be easily manoeuvred in crowds, or stored in vehicles/lockers, and are quick to take on or off. They are also ambidextrous, and unlike others in this class, are actually comfortable on the shoulder; The bottom strap clips from either the right or left lower corner and the padded section realigns itself ergonomically in the correct body-hugging direction. The bag can be rotated to the chest for on-the-go access, and all pockets are designed to face the user in this mode on either the right or left side. One-strap-carry also makes shouldering a long-gun comfortable - unlike a backpack.

S.L.R. camera users with mounted telephoto lenses know how frustrating it can be to bag their cam-era on the run without removing the long lens. This is usually done by placing the camera into a backpack. But this takes many steps and too long.Howitzer™ is our custom solution to this issue. It is es-sentially a large padded lens case that is also big enough to hold most camera bodies attached. A top organizer area and interior flat pocket allow users to bring accessories in the bag. The full molle cov-erage on all sides means that other lens cases such as our Jellyroll ™ can be added on the sides.
