Lock it and look When you’re alone getting into your car, the first thing you should do is lock the doors. Be observant when approaching your car; look underneath and in the back seat before entering. Rely on good neighbors Inform a neighbor that you will be hosting an open house, and ask if he or she would keep an eye and ear open for anything out of the ordinary.

2010 OPEN HOUSE WEEKEND
APRIL 10 – 11th, 2010 2:00-4:00p.m Fayette County Board of Realtors® is participating with the National Association of Realtors®
and the Georgia Association of Realtors® in a Nation Wide Open House event!
Over a hundred homes will be featured by Realtors® across Fayette County.
See the 2 page ad in The Fayette Citizen Newspaper or online at www.theCitizen.com
The listing in the Newnan Times Herald,
On our website at www.FayetteREALTORS.com
At www.openhousegeorgia.org
or call your preferred Realtor® and visit them at their listing!
PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO SEE WHAT’S AVAILABLE. DON’T WAIT UNTIL IT’S TOO LATE FOR THE TAX CREDITS!! SEE U THERE
Guidelines and information you need to know to host your house:
1. All listings were submitted until March 19th at 12noon. Limit of two homes per agent. If you host additional, use directional signs.
2. Houses are to be open from 2:00 to 4:00pm on the day you specified. Check the ad to confirm you have the proper day. If you get it under contract prior to the open house, please try to hold it open anyway.
3. There will be a 2 page ad in The Citizen, www.thecitizen.com and a one page ad in The Real Estate Book. The Newnan-Times Herald will also have a listing of our open houses.
4. See the flyer attached in this package that you can use to send to prospects or clients/friends you’d like to invite. Additional copies of flyers, handouts and these guidelines are available online at www.FayetteRealtors.com.
5. Have a copy of the two page ad at your Open House so attendees can view it, also hand out the flyers on “Why to Use a Realtor®.
6. We encourage you to list your Open Houses on Realtor.com, Trulia, Facebook, and other social media.
7. Exercise good Open House safety measures. Maybe consider posting a sign on the front door that you’re touring, keep door locked and ask them to ring the bell for the next tour. This would enable you to only have one group in the home at a time. Safer for you and the homeowner.
8. Make sure you have enough directional's and Open House signs before the weekend: the FCBR store sells them if you need more.
9. Place directionals on the way to your Open House and remove as you leave. Do not leave them up over night. Balloons will be provided by NAR, please place them only at the house, not on the signs, per local ordinances. No directional's in medians or right-of-ways.
10. ONLY licensed agents may host Open Houses.
11. An After Action/Debrief from is in your packet. Please fill out and email to [email protected]. This will help us create even better events in the future! Good luck, hope you sell a house and get buyers!

This year, the Women’s Council of REALTORS is dedicating their bowling tournament to the
Candice Smith Trust. Candice was the daughter of Chandra Smith, the WCR Chapter President. Unfortunately, Candice was involved in a very serious auto accident in December. During her 2
month hospital stay, she fought hard and made many steps towards recovery. In February Candice lost her brave battle. As you can imagine, the family was devastated and the medical
bills have mounted. Please come show your support for the Smith family!
