Ensure excellent cow comfort, bed well, clipexcessive udder hair, use water sparingly and cleanteats thoroughly with individual medicated towels.

2. Fore strip every teatCheck carefully for mastitis while massaging eachteat for optimum oxytocin release.

3. Pre-dip if requiredReduce numbers of environmental bacteria with afast acting pre-milk teat dip.

4. Dry teats thoroughlyUse a disposable paper towel for each cow forthorough and efficient drying.

5. Position clusters carefullyAvoid twists and uneven milk-out and work such thatclusters go on 90 seconds after start of fore milking.

6. Remove clusters carefully soonafter milk stops flowingAvoid liner slip as milking slows and remove teat cups after shutting off vacuum.

7. Dip teats immediately after cluster removalAfter cluster removal promptly apply a good qualitydip over the lower third of each teat.

8. Use a loafing area after milkingEnsure cows remain standing for 20 minutes aftermilking by providing fresh feed after they leave.
