    Easy watering for the entirehedge

    Route the 13 mm (1/2")Connecting Pipe (3) alongthe bottom of the hedge.Plan to install one EndlineDrip Head (16/17) for eachplant. Install the drip headsin the Connecting Pipe usingthe Installation Tool (2).Attach the Master Unit (1)to the input side of theConnecting Pipe. Close offthe end of the pipe with aPlug (14).

    Pipe Guides (6) are used tosecure the pipe in the ground.We recommend using 1 PipeGuide for each metre ofConnecting Pipe.Instead of installing theConnecting Pipe, you canalso use the GARDENA DripIrrigation Line (see also page15), which has drip headspre-installed 30 cm apart.You can also install 4.6 mm(3/16") Inline Drip Heads(19/20) in a Supply Pipe (4)for watering shorter rows ofplants up to a maximum of

    15 m in length. You caninstall up to 25 2 l/h InlineDrip Heads in the SupplyPipe.

    Note:

    The 4.6 mm (3/16") SupplyPipe (4) can be installedinside boxes for wateringflowers and plants andcontainers and pots on patios.Five 2 l/h Inline Drip Heads(19/20) are installed in theSupply Pipe for every metreof flower box. For an effectiveirrigation put the drip headsas close as possible to theplants. The pipe is secured inplace using 2-3 Pipe Guides(6/7) for each box. The MasterUnit (1) is installed at the inletside of the irrigation system.

    Note:

    If you are installing an irrigationsystem for more than 5 mof flower boxes, route the13 mm (1/2") Connecting Pipe(3) alongside the boxes andthen branch off the pipe every5 m to the 4.6 mm (3/16")Supply Pipe (4) installed insidethe individual flower boxes.Connect the pipes usingReducing T-Joints (13) and4.6 mm (3/16") T-Joints (9).

    If you do not have a tap onyour patio, we recommendusing the fully automatic

    GARDENA Flower BoxWatering set (see Page 14).

    Accurate drip irrigation inplant pots

    Water potted plants on yourpatio with Adjustable EndlineDrip Heads (18). Install thesedrip heads in the end of theSupply Pipe (4) by handusing the Installation Tool.

    Connect the Supply Pipe tothe central Connecting Pipe(3) using Reducing T-Joints(13). You can position andsecure the drip heads in theplant pot using Pipe Pegs (7).Install the Master Unit (1) atthe start of the ConnectingPipe.

    Extremely versatile

    Irrigation suitable forgreenhouses

    Seedlings flourish best in thegreenhouse when watered bya fine mist from Micro MistNozzles. You should thereforeinstall Micro Mist Nozzles(28) approximately 50 cmapart in the 13 mm (1/2")Connecting Pipe (3) andsecure the pipe at the top ofthe greenhouse (to the rooftruss, for example) using PipeClips (5) and T-joints (15).Water-sensitive plants suchas tomatoes benefit morefrom drip irrigation at theroots of the plants.

    Install Inline Drip Heads(19/20) in the 4.6 mm (3/16")Supply Pipe (4) according tothe spacing of your plantsand secure the Supply Pipe inthe ground with Pipe Guides(6). Use a Plug (14) to seal offthe end of the pipe.

    Note:

    You can also combine dripirrigation and spray nozzleirrigation in one system.Install shut-off valves (8) inthe individual irrigation linesbefore the drip heads andnozzles so that the individualplant areas are supplied withexactly the right amount ofwater.

    Accurate watering forsmaller areas

    More awkward areas of yourgarden such as plant troughsor around trees can be wateredusing Small Area SprayNozzles (23/24). The irrigationdiameter of this type of nozzlecan be adjusted from 10 to40 cm. In irrigation systemsup to a maximum of 15 m inlength you should install thenozzles along the 4.6 mm(3/16") Supply Pipe (4).

    You can use up to 4 Small AreaSpray Nozzles in an irrigationsystem of this size. If yourirrigation system is longerthan this, however, use theInstallation Tool (2) to installthe nozzles directly in the13 mm (1/2") Connecting Pipe(3) instead. You can install amaximum of 30 nozzles.Position the Small Area SprayNozzles exactly where you needthem using Pipe Guides (6).Seal off the end of the pipeusing a Plug (14).

    Accurate, meteredirrigation for areas ofall shapes and sizes

    The best way to water thesquare and rectangularareas in vegetable plots andflowerbeds is to use theOscillating Sprinkler Vario 50(31). The range and width ofspray can be adjusted asrequired. The area coveredcan be selected from between5 m2 and 50 m2. You canchange the height of thesprinkler according to thegrowth of your plants usingthe Extension Pipe (32).

    The Oscillating Sprinkler isinstalled in the 13 mm (1/2")Connecting Pipe (3) andsecured in the ground usingPipe Guides (6). You canconnect up to 4 sprinklers ifthey are spaced 10 m apart.

    Secure the T-Joint (15) in theground using Pipe Guides (6) orattach it to a firm surface usingPipe Clips (5). You can adjustthe range of the Spray Nozzlesusing the control valve (34).For short irrigation lines up toa maximum of 15 m you canuse the 4.6 mm (3/16") SupplyPipe (4) as a water line. Youshould use the 13 mm (1/2")Connecting Pipe (3), however,for irrigation lines longer than15 m.For the maximum numberof Spray Nozzles you canconnect see page 18.

    Gentle mist irrigation

    Spray Nozzles (25/26/27/29/30)installed directly in theConnecting Pipe (3) usingthe Installation Tool (2) areideal for watering vegetableplots, flowerbeds and bordersbelow the leaves of plants.

    If you need to water yourplants in flowerbeds, forexample, with a fine mistfrom above, install the SprayNozzles on a T-Joint withnozzle connection (15) anduse Extension Pipes (33) toraise the nozzles to thecorrect height.
