Our Thanks to....

Director’s Corner

Let me begin my first Director’sCorner by expressing gratitude to mypredecessor, Andy Snow. Dr. Snows tenureas Director saw the McClure School’s facultygrow to an all-time high, he guided the namechange to Information andTelecommunicationSystems, he was instrumental in launching theMCTP graduate program, and he helpedboost ITERA as the organization oftelecom

oriented academic programs. He’ll be a tough act to follow, but weappreciate all that he’s done.

To those ofyou who sent me personal emails ofcongratulations and encouragement: thanks again. The McClureSchool has always been blessed with involved and concerned alumni,You’ve been very kind.

In the past, we’ve looked to McClure alumni for curriculumadvice, forjob placement assistance, and for occasional recruitmenthelp. Ofcourse, we’ll continue to do so and I hope to involve alumnimore systematically in recruitment. These are exciting times at OhioUniversity and in higher education generally: budgets arc both tight andcontentious. I expect to be more involved with financial developmentthanmy immediate predecessors and will, from time to time, call onalumni for yourassistance.

I’m very proud to be associated with the McClure School andhope to be the Director it deserves. See you at ITS Day 2008!
