The kit includes the YES assignments together with copies of YES reports for the past three (3) years. All Executive Committee (ExeCom) members are enjoined to read and understand the whole archive. The Best Efforts for the school year were discussed during the meeting. The ExeCom decided to feature the formation of the Philippine Society of Math Organizations as the Best Organizational Development Effort. The entries for Core Competencies Effort and Synergy Effort remained unresolved as NSTP-AMS could pass as any of the two. Math Applications Department (MathApp) Updates The MathApp Heads updated the ExeCom about MathSaya, Math Conference, and CMJ. MathSaya: Everything is all set for Day 1 (17 November 2012). What remains a concern to the MathSaya core team is finding a replacement for Dr. Marcelo who was supposed to give a talk on card tricks. The ExeCom suggested that they try to get Nico Baguio to talk about basketball statistics as opposed to their contingency to have Jver Venturillo to give a talk on Dr. Marcelo’s topic. MathCon: The MathApp Heads gave an overview of the program flow as discussed in the most recent meeting of the MathCon Core Team. As of present, they already have one (1) confirmed speaker for Day 1 (10 December 2012). CMJ pool will have a general assembly next week (19-23 November 2012). The team plans to release two issues for the school year, and they have already started working their way to producing a journal similar to Readers’ Digest. Academics Department (Acads) Updates The Acads Heads updated the ExeCom about Sipnayan, AMO, Agimath+, FMIC, NSTP-AMS. Sipnayan: The number of confirmed participants will be updated as soon as the minutes for the most recent Sipayan core team meeting becomes available. AMO core team had a meeting a while ago (14 November 2012). They have decided that the theme for this year’s AMO would be Avatar, with a tentative title: The Last Mathbender. Agimath+ is currently revising contract with the University Athletics Office (UAO). The tutorial service for LS students for the second semester will be launched on 19 November 2012.
