Summarized Minutes

President Updates The President updated the ExeCom about STC, NSTP-AMS, and AMS PlEvSem. STC Dates to Remember:

- Best practices sharing for Academics and HR officers: 13 September 2012 - Planning and Evaluation Seminar (PlEvSem): 23-24 October 2012

STC FB page update: each of the eight (8) STC organizations will update the STC page every week. NSTP-AMS People involved will have a meeting with Dr. Garciano on Thursday (13 September 2012), 1430-1630H. AMS PlEvSem PlEvSem is temporarily scheduled on 28-30 October 2012. Number of participants (excluding 14 ExeCom facilitators) was discussed.

Leadership Training Seminar (LTS) Updates Logistics and Finance Re: fund raising: no meeting yet. Venue for LTS participant deliberations will be at CFO’s house Programs Programs committee will discuss program flow with moderator and OSA formator soon. Details of the facilitators’ training are still vague. Secretariat and DP It has been resolved that the Executive Committee (ExeCom) will not give out rejection letters. Sec & DP reminded people who have not updated the LTS interviews rating sheet to put their responses as soon as possible.

Executive Vice President (EVP) Updates Schedule of ExeCom Evaluations will now be determined with respect to the event day and not on the earliest meeting set right after the event. Mid-year focus group discussion is temporarily set for 21 September 2012.

Documentations and Promotions (DP) Updates DP TrainSem is tentatively scheduled on 17 September 2012. The modified retention system was presented. Infinity content for the week of 10-14 September was discussed.

 

Academics Department (Acads) Updates The Acads Heads updated the ExeCom about Problem Solving Seminar (PSS), LT Drive, and Sipnayan. PSS will be on 17 September 2012. LT Drive will be launched this week (10-14 September 2012). The next Sipnayan core team meeting will be on 13 September 2012. Acads Heads presented a recount of Sipnayan HS.

Member Relations Department (MemRel) Updates The MemRel Heads updated the ExeCom about Know Your AMS Member (KYAM), Pool of Hosts (PoH), and Family. KYAM will be released by this week (almost one month late). PoH: Confidence-building seminar will be moved to 2nd semester. Some members of the pool are not yet part of the group probably because they don’t go online that much. Family: Core evaluations meeting was held last Wednesday (5 September 2012). Family Day 2 is tentativel scheduled on 19 September 2012.

Math Applications Department (MathApp) Updates The MathApp Heads updated the ExeCom about Camp Math, MathCon, and MathSaya. Camp Math had its core evaluations meeting earlier today (10 September 2012). Math App Heads discussed the general sentiment of the core team. MathCon and MathSaya will hold their focus group discussion and first core team meeting this week.
