High-quality technologyVelino Classic features proven technology, open profiles in truss design, track systems manufactured in house, and controllers tested in house. Its precise mechanical assembly and intelligent control systems are designed to move passengers from one level to the next smoothly and safely.

7 Matching plates

The standard configuration features structured stainless-steel floor and comb plates. Optionally you can choose bar-ribbed plain or black aluminum ones.

Two lateral cladding options are available on request: brushed stainless steel or powder-coated steel sheeting (in white or silver).

6 Custom lighting

Five lighting options: skirt band lighting, comb lighting, step gap lighting, under-handrail lighting, and bi-color traffic lights at the inner decking.– so your building really will shine bright.

4 Appealing steps

Three die-cast aluminum options: silver and black without yellow demarcation; silver and black with yellow plastic inserts; and silver with yellow demarcation.

1 Unique handrail inlet

The unique flap system with its two-door release mechanism means there are no brushes or rubber guards – and that gives Velino Classic a pleasingly modern look.

5 Solid skirt

The skirt comes in carbon steel with black safety painting as standard, or optionally in brushed stainless steel with or without transparent anti-friction painting.

3 Attractive decking profiles

Velino Classic comes with silver anodized aluminum deckings as standard. The stainless-steel option is more scratch-and mark-resistant for longer-lasting good looks.

More attractive, more functionalVelino Classic is simply more attractive thanks to a unique handrail flap system where no unattractive brushes or rubber guards are required. And since this solution is more dirt-resistant, it’s simply more functional as well. You can’t get much neater or modern looking than this.

Aesthetic lightingThe optional white and RGB color lighting under the handrail enhance the escalator’s aesthetic appeal, allowing the lighting to be modified to match your building’s color code. Besides, this lighting enhances the handrail’s visual appeal by appearing to float on the balustrade.

Appealing choiceThe standard configuration features R10 non-slip rating stainless-steel floor and comb plates in a bar ribbed design. Optionally, you can choose plain or black aluminum ribbed floor and comb plates. You can create an appealingly stylish look by choosing matching steps and skirt.

Built to lastDuring assembly of the truss we use lasers to align the key elements to ensure every escalator is a perfect fit. Every truss is descaled before welding and given a double layer of anti-corrosion paint to provide lasting rust protection. Besides, the open profiles in our truss design allow us to inspect every surface and ensure the protection meets our rigorous quality standards.

1 High-standard truss

The angel steel used in the truss complies with the European steel design standard BS EN 1993 and is certified to the new steel structure welding standard EN1090 so this truss truly stands out from the crowd. The bottom plate of our truss is continuously welded to prevent unsightly oil stains.

2 Robust steps

Built to our own design, the steps offer utmost reliability with minimal risk of breakage. In a dynamic load test they performed 50% better than the EN 115 standard.

3 Smooth-running track system

Manufactured in house and subjected to strict quality controls, the track system is also assembled using laser-precision jigs to ensure minimal noise, vibration and abrasion for quiet and efficient operation and a reliably long roller life.

Reliable and smooth rideWe use stiff elements in the construction of our truss and isolation pads to reduce vibration. The track system is designed, built and rigorously tested in house to guarantee reliable and safe operation. The outcome is a smooth and quiet ride for passengers – quality you and your customers can actually feel.

Step up-thrust device

The step up-thrust monitoring device shuts down the escalator as soon as objects become trapped in the gap between two consecutive steps thus reducing the risk of step breakage.

Brake wear indicator

This indicator checks the thickness of the brake linings and stops the escalator if the thickness is below a given threshold. This prevents serious damage being done to the escalator.

Skirt safety switches

Since these switches react immediately if something gets trapped between the steps and the skirt, Velino Classic is safer for children and people wearing high-friction rubber boots, for example.

Energy-saving STAR-DELTAThis optional device makes up to 15% energy savings possible when no passengers are on the escalator. After the escalator is switched on, the motor stays at a third of its nominal power and only switches to full power when a passenger passes the light barrier in the skirt.

Energy-saving stop-and-goIn the absence of any passengers on the step band, the escalator comes to a smooth stop after a defined period of time. This intermittent operation function reduces power consumption and your electricity bill.

Energy-saving VVVFThe Variable Voltage Variable Frequency (VVVF) drive slows the escalator down to standby speed when no passengers are detected. The frequency converter shows an approaching passenger the escalator’s ready mode and direction of travel and helps to reduce energy consumption.

LED lightingLEDs not only last significantly longer than any other form of lighting, they also use a lot less energy. In other words, LEDs are both cost-efficient and environmentally friendly.
