Mr. Tamás Kovács was born on 1st July, 1967 in Zalaegerszeg (Hungary). Mr Kovács graduated as IT engineer, supervisor and MBA manager - he is well experienced expert in the fields of regional planning & programming, project generation and networking. Mr Kovacs worked as IT expert during the ‘90s. He was a prosperous application developer, but has built his career in the field of regional development since 2000. He was the programming director of Central Trans-Danubian Regional Development Agency from 2000 till 2007 and then was leading the Agency as managing director for 2 years. Mr Kovács was one of the most highlighted actors of regional policy in Central-Transdanubia in these years. The CTD RDA has functioned as an intermediary body both of the National Development Plan 2004-06 and the New Hungarian Development Plan 2007-13. The agency was one of the most highlighted responsible organisation for the application of the Central-Transdanubian segment of the 1st Regional Programme (2004-06) in Hungary and works as Intermediary Body of the Central-Transdanubian Operational Programme (2007-2013) also. Mr Kovács left the CTD RDA in last year and has become one of the senior advisors of the Mid-Pannon Regional Development Company since the beginning of 2010. His specialities are the international networking, the operation of the regional project pipeline conception and the innovation-oriented network-based economy development. Mr Kovács is the member of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers, is one of the lecturers at regional colleges and universities and is the proprietor of several professional honourable mentions.

Mr Stefan Chudoba a was born on 27th January 1951. He is director of the Automotive Cluster – West Slovakia. From year 2006 he is working as businessman in area consulting, innovation, education and EU funds (company Carisch, s.r.o.). He has PhD. from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava in study program – Businessenterprise management. In 1975 Mr. Chudoba graduated from University of Economics in Bratislava. From 2005 till 2006 he was advisor of the president of Matador company. From 2003 till 2005 he was general manager forŠKODA-Auto Russia (Division of VW Group), he contributed to start up and stabilization of commercial business.From 1993 till 2003 he was general manager for purchasing and sales for ŠKODA Auto Slovensko. He has a lot of experience in automotive industry based on his active employment action in automotive area. From 1992-1993 Mr. Chudoba was Manager for Marketing and Business Coordination in Volkswagen AG Wolfsburg, Germany.Between years 1988 – 1992 he held position Chief Executive Officer of BAZ and was responsible for full company operation, culminating in establishing Joint-Venture between Volkswagen AG and BAZ (Bratislava Automobile Company in former Czechoslovakia). Between years 1976 – 1988 he held various automotive positions in TAZ (Trnava automobile company in former Czechoslovakia), like: Executive Head for Manufacturing (1986-1988), Manager for Technology and Development (1983 – 1986), Factory Manager (1980 – 1983).

Mr Istvan Bulyaki is the President of the Mechatronics and Automotive Cluster in Ajka Area, and is the managing director of Bourns Hungary Ltd. at the same time. The Mechatronics and Automotive Cluster in Ajka Area was recognised by Central Transdanubian Region as one of the strategic alliance representing Automotive Sector and is actually involving 24 enterprises belonging to automotive sector, a technical university, a vocational school and 2 non-profit organisations. Considering the potential added-value, that would be provided by joint collaboration between AutoNet Project and the Mechatronics and Automotive Cluster in Ajka Area, in facing the goal of enhancing the competitiveness of the Automotive Industry in the EU.

Mr. Dušan Bušen was born on 17th February, 1966 in Sempeter near Nova Gorica (Slovenia). Ambitiousness and an outstanding feeling for organisation and management established him as one of the leading experts in the sphere of the international automotive industry. Mr. Bušen studied at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, where he also graduated. His fields of expertise are automation and robotics. He also speaks several foreign languages – English, Russian, Italian and German, which enable him to be active and to operate in the international business field with ease and confidence. Mr. Bušen’s natural ability for organisation and refined sense for sources management were additionally improved with the active participation in several international workshops - professional cooperation with major suppliers on the market, successful team management, solutions of conflicts and project management. In January 2003 Mr. Bušen became the Managing Director of the Automotive Cluster of Slovenia, this being the crown of his career. He formed a vision of the ACS, which he pursued and realized in 2003 and the following years, together with Mrs. Urša Gluhak and with the support of the Slovenian Ministry of the Economy. As the General Manager, Mr. Bušen has an important role as a representative of the Slovenian Automotive Cluster in the domestic as well as international field. He is the main communication figure and is responsible for the effective and constructive implementation of decisions of the ACS Assembly (Annual General Meeting) and the Supervisory Board. He is also responsible for the management of the ACS’ business policies, the conception of the business plan and the scheme of operations. Mr. Bušen is also responsible for operational efficiency reports and financial reports (business results) and for the establishment of new business contacts with automotive manufacturers and component suppliers. His dedication and an exceptional feeling for the field of automotive industry did not stay unnoticed. At the Europe INNOVA conference 2006 (held at Valencia, Spain) the European Commission honoured Mr. Bušen with the “Europe Innova Cluster Manager of the Year 2006” award. With this award the European Commission acknowledged his excellent leadership and his contribution to the sustained growth of the ACS. The following year Mr. Bušen played a key role as the main expert in the development of the network of automotive suppliers in Serbia and Samara region of Russia (UNIDO), after he conducted a thorough study of the existing automotive industry. The main guideline for the development of the network was the use of the existing model of the Slovenian association, which already proved itself as an excellent model on the domestic as well as international markets and has strengthened the position of Slovenian suppliers in the automobile industry. The membership in the Board of National Directors in the European Association of Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA) enables him to share his knowledge and experience with the international automotive world. As he is aware of the importance of experiences and knowledge in this field, Mr. Bušen dedicates all of his energy and knowledge into the CLEPA RTD working group as well as takes active part in HR & D working groups.

Mrs. Jolán BORBÉLY, is an economist, studied at Foreign Trade Department of Economics in Prague, later obtained a diploma in European Studies at University of Economics in Budapest.

She has been worked in international relationships for Videoton Electronic Company, for Fejér Enterprise Agency and recently for Mid-Pannon Regional Development Company.

She gained experiences in managing national and international projects, in attracting foreign direct investments into the region, in regional economic development and in enterprise support.
