Angels
A Holy Lands RPG Optional Supplement Release 1
This optional supplement is converted to 4TH
Edition, Trinity Rules from the “Dark Ages” 1st
Edition Rules with additional commentary and rules added.
Angels are celestial being of great beauty and power. They are used as messengers of God to
bring healing, information, or judgment. These stunning winged beings have incredible power
and can float, disappear, and reappear at will. They seek to fulfill the will of God at any cost,
even unto death. Angels work only by the direction of the Lord and will not interact or
otherwise communicate with humans unless commanded by God. Besides the Arch Angels,
there are three different types of angels know to man, which are described below.
Basic stats (Attributes, Abilities, and skills) etc for Angels are typically far above human norms.
They are stronger, faster, smarter and better at most things than their mortal counterparts.
Angels will not have the human faults though, they will not be dishonest, unfaithful, or
discouraging, and they will always praise God above all else.
An Angels actions will be dictated by the will of the Lord at all times, unless it is their mission
they will not be there to convert unbelievers, do personal favors, or run errands for the players.
The only exception will be that an angel of death will always, immediately fight to destroy a
demon that is present. All Angels can automatically sense demons (and vice a versa) and they
cannot abide to be in their presence. Therefore, unless given specific orders from God to the
contrary, angels of mercy and light will attempt to force the demon to flee.
Angel of Death L.P.: 250 +10-80
Description: Typically of the male gender, Angels of Death are powerful warrior’s angels that
bring destruction and judgment. They will only come when instructed by God. They can fly
with speeds of 31.
Weapon Skills: All WS Weapon skills
AtR: 5
Defense: 10 Natural + Armor
Combat Skills: +8 Attack, +8 Defend, +8 Dodge, +8 Damage
Weapons: Sword of the Spirit
Armor: Armor of God*
Miracle Abilities: Lightning, Strong Winds, Reflect Magic, Exorcism, and Heal
Miracles per round: 2
Average Height: 10-12 foot tall
Weakness: None
Belongings: Holy Sword of the Spirit and Armor of God

Angel of Light L.P.: 150 +10-80
Description: Angels of Light are beautiful winged angels that come speaking information and
bringing guidance from God.
Weapon Skills: WS Light Arms only
AtR: 3
Defense: 7 Natural
Combat Skills: +5 Attack, +4 Defend, +8 Dodge, +5 Damage
Weapons: Indestructible Staff of Holy Light only
Armor: Angels of Mercy wear no armor, only robes.
Miracle Abilities: Babel, Retrieve Object, Wisdom, Dispel Magic, and Holy Light
Miracles per round: 3
Average Height: 10-12 foot tall
Weakness: Spells and Magic Items
Belongings: Staff of Holy Light
Angel of Mercy L.P.: 150 +10-80
Description: Angels of Mercy are beautiful winged angels that bring healing and life back to
those injured or afflicted with sickness. They will only come when instructed by God, but can
heal a character up to full Life with a touch.
Weapon Skills: WS Light Arms only
AtR: 3
Defense: 7 Natural
Combat Skills: +5 Attack, +4 Defend, +8 Dodge, +5 Damage
Weapons: Indestructible Staff of Healing
Armor: Angels of Mercy wear no armor, only robes.
Miracle Abilities: Cure Poison, Heal Life, Resurrection, Heal Disease, and Restore Limbs
Miracles per round: 3
Average Height: 10-12 foot tall
Weakness: Spells and Magic Items
Belongings: Staff of Healing
Special Notes: Armor of God: The Armor of God can be any armor type (robe to plate) and it holds all of the
listed holy properties. It takes no Damage from anything known to man. It has a 10% chance of
breaking any weapon used against it in combat.
Special Attributes: Evermending, Impervious to Fire, Resist Magic, Silent, Weightless
Holy Sword of the Spirit: The Sword of the Spirit can be any weapon type and holds every
listed Holy Weapon property. In addition it has a +5 to Damage. It has a 20% chance of
breaking normal (non-holy or non-magical weapons) when defending them or shields when
attacking against them.

Special Attributes: Dispel Fire, Heal Life, Indestructible, Luminous Glow, Returns to Wielder,
Staff of Healing: This Holy Staff will instantly heal the holder of all damage to include disease
and other afflictions this ability can be used seven times per day. It will also heal those touched
by it by 2d6+6 LP. This ability can be used once per round.
Staff of Holy Light: This Holy Staff can cause an effect similar to the miracle Holy Light. It
can create a blinding burst of white light that blinds all within range (10’/PF) for 1d8 rounds.
Demons struck by this light must make a Save vs Miracles or be banished (forced to return to
Hell for an unspecified time). The second function of the Staff of Holy Light is to allow the user
to clearly see in all forms of darkness (both normal and magical), fog, or other visual disruptions.
