Dress for Success - April 9thFirst Monday of Each Month
All students and staff are expected to participate in Dress for Success by adding bow ties, neckties, criss-cross ties, Peter Pan shirts, skirts, vests, sweaters,
cardigans, suspenders, scarves or pearls to dress up the school uniforms.

Good Behavior Incentive Program
Effective as of March 12th, we are starting a new school-wide good behavior incentive for our students. Please
encourage your child to make good choices, show kindness and respect on a daily basis.
Look for more information in the weekly newsletter from your child’s teacher.
Important State Test Dates:
EL Testing March 12-16, 8am
MAAP-A March 19-29, 8am
MAAP, 3rd Reading April 17, 8am
MKAS, PreK and K April 4-7
MAAP, 3rd and 4th May 7-11, 8am
3rd Retest Only May 14-15, 8am
Please make sure your child is at school on time each day. Please encourage your child to do his/her best on the test. The tests are timed, so your child needs to use his/her time very wisely in order to finish the test.

MAAP Test Prep Camp for3rd and 4th Graders
April 23 - 26April 30 - May 3
Central Elementary will host a MAAP Test Prep Camp for 3rd and 4th grade
students. Your child will have the opportunity to engage in interactive activities that focus on building test
stamina, increasing knowledge, boosting morale. Incentives, transportation and
snacks will be provided. Permission slips will be sent home on March 20, 2018 with
more details.
Field DayThursday, March 29
8:00-2:00Order forms for t-shirts and snacks
coming soon. Volunteers are needed.
iReady at HomePlease allow your child to work on iReady Reading and Math at home each night for
20 minutes. This is good practice on rigorous materials.
