PARTS CATALOG REVISION SERVICE

GENERAL

Subscribers to the MoPar Passenger Car Parts Catalog Revision Service will be provided with revision pages in-corporating latest information. Proper interfiling of the revision pages will insure the subscriber a complete and up-to-date Parts Book.

Accompanying each mailing of a set of revision pages is a covering letter which outlines the contents of the particularrevision: Group Name, Group Number, and Page Numbers being eliminated, replaced, or added to each revised group. It is advised that the letter be read carefully to avoid elimination of pages which are still current.

INTERFILING REVISION PAGES

The importance of prompt interfiling of revision pages upon receipt cannot be stressed too greatly.

The following method for interfiling revised and new pages has been found to be efficient and time saving and isrecommended for your use:

1. Insert the revised pages loosely in their proper location in the catalog.

2. Pull the locking trigger and lift the transfer bar with all pages down to the first loose revision sheet whichhas been inserted in its proper location.

3. Compare the revised (loose) page with the superseded page, noting changes and date.

NOTE: If you use the revised pages as part of your parts record-keeping system, note the changes in the revised(loose) page and post accordingly.

4. Remove superseded page.

5. Place revised page on post of transfer bar.

6. Replace transfer bar with all pages in place on bottom post.

ORDERING INFORMATION

FOR REPLACEMENT PARTS

This publication contains parts information for 1960 model passenger cars. In the event replacement parts whichare not listed are required, they may be ordered by description or part type code, giving the model or serial numberof the vehicle to which they apply.

For ease in ordering and speed in shipping, MoPar replacement parts have been coded according to Stocking Point. These codes are explained in the MoPar Master Parts Price List.

Because items with certain codes are available at different Stocking Points, it is important that parts orders bedeveloped separately for each Stocking Code ("P" or "D").

HOW TO ORDER REPLACEMENT PARTS

Price Class " A " , " B " , and " S " Parts.

a) These parts may be ordered separately or combined on the same order for a single shipment.

b) The total value of the "Base Prices" for all the part numbers of the above parts classes that are included onthe same order qualifies that order for any applicable Volume Discounts and/or Allowances off of such "BasePr ices . "

c) "Base Prices" means the "Net Prices" published from time to time in column #6 of the Parts Price List andits supplements.

d) All Mail Orders (Scheduled, Unscheduled, Emergency)

(1) Use Standard Order Form 81-670-0139 exclusively for ordering " P " Section items from your usual sourceof MoPar parts.

(2) Send all such orders by First Class Mail.

e) Back Orders

(1) Stock Orders - Back Orders from all classes of Stock Orders will be held at the Area Parts Plants.(Scheduled,Unscheduled) If the original orders so qualified, transportation will be prepaid on shipments of back

orders. Otherwise, transportation charges will be F.O.B.

The billing for all back order shipments will be subject to the prices in effect on thedate of shipment as applied to the value basis at which the original order qualified.

(2) Emergency - Back Orders from Emergency Orders will be referred to Marysville for shipment orOrders to the nearest Parts Plant where such items are available.

All shipments will be F.O.B. shipping point, and billing will be subject to the pricesin effect on the date of shipment.

Printed in U.S.A. p a g e iNF-15 Dec. 9, 1960 Supersedes Oct. 1, 1959.

HOW TO ORDER REPLACEMENT PARTS - CONT'D

2. Price Class " X " and " Y " Parts .

a) Since these are inactive part numbers that seldom warrant stocking in the field, they usually are ordered onlywhen needed for a particular service job.

b) Accordingly, speed in receiving, processing and shipping such orders is vital to you, to us, and to the public, and we have "tuned up" for this job independently of the processing for Stock Orders. In effect, every orderwill be handled as an Emergency Order.

c) An important part of this accelerated "line-up" is two separate self-identifying order forms. A supply of theseforms has been sent to all Dealers and Parts Wholesalers, and will continue to be available gratis upon request.

d) Trim Order Form No. 81-690-0003

(1) This order form is intended to assist in the compilation of and facilitate the processing of Trim Orders. Please use this form in all cases as detailed on the form itself. By so doing, it will help you and us toavoid errors and to expedite shipment.

(2) Trim fabrics (body upholstery cloth, vinyl, etc.) are usually available by the yard or fraction thereof. When ordering fabric of this type, please furnish all information on Form No. 81-690-0003, plus themaximum length of material required. The length specified will be supplied in the bolt width of the material.

ORDERING BY TELEGRAM

3. Ordering by Telegram

a) When ordering by telegram, follow procedure as outlined above for ordering parts. Do not mix " P " classifiedparts with " D " classified parts on telegraphic orders.

b) Numbers in a telegram are charged for at the rate of one word for each five digits. Code words are chargedfor at the rate of one word for each five letters in the code word.

c) Use the Master Code Letters if your telegraphic order is for two or more part numbers of the same series.

EXAMPLE If your order is for part numbers 60§ 884, 635 885, 637 034, 667 423,and 669 328, it is counted as 10 words.

However, a savings can be effected by using the Master Code Lettersand writing your order as follows:

K 05884, 35885, 37034, 67423, 69328

The count is 6 words — a savings of 4 words.

For orders of a single part number, or several part numbers of different series, it is not necessary to usethe Master Code Numeral.

EXAMPLE If your order is for part numbers 605 884, 706 124, 1718 124, and1814 122, enter your order with all digits of the part number.
