Rooney’s is able to cool or heat your marquee to your ideal temperature. Our climate control units are silent and can cool a marquee to 16 degrees or heat them up to 34 degrees.
Rooney’s is able to floor your marquee with lay of the land flooring system. Our flooring comes either fully carpeted or painted to a colour of your liking. Flooring not only completes your set up but also keeps your feet dry in the event of rain!

Event Mobility offers the ultimate luxury solution to outdoor event toilets and refrigeration.
We offer VIP Flush Toilet units, which will complement any up market event. Our Refrigerated units which are ideal for event on site caterers and bar services. Operated by Rooney’s Hire Service, we will
ensure the highest levels of service, product and delivery which will ensure your event is one you will be proud of. Rooney’s will deliver the units anywhere in Zimbabwe and offer a janitor service if requested.
VIP TOILETSOur VIP Flush Toilet Units are luxury self contained mobile toilet units which are ideal for any event be it a wedding / corporate cocktail party / conferences / sporting event / fairs etc. The VIP Flush Units consist of two toilets, each with it’s own hand basin, LED lighting and all accessories required for the unit. The units are 100% self contained, they don’t need to be connected to water mains or electricity which makes them idea for any site.

REFRIGERATED UNITSEvent Mobility offers refrigerated units which are ideal for onsite catering services and bar services. The units run off 15amp power and are able to be cooled down to 1 degree Celsius. The units have internal stainless steel shelving which assist in optimising space inside the trailer.

MODULAR BOXESRooney’s is able to offer our clients customised Modular Boxes, which are ideal for brand activation, exhibitions, golf days, shopping centre promotions, mobile bars etc. The units are branded to your specifications and delivered to site and installed in 45 minutes. We do offer double decker units too which allows for commentators / DJ’s etc to be above the main unit. Each unit is 2.40m x 2.40m and each fold out flooring panel is 2.40m x 2.40m

Rooney’s Event Management is a division of Rooney’s Hire Service that manages and facilitates all aspects within the event industry. REM provides all clients with a complete solution to any event from weddings, corporate launches, private and public functions as well as stand builds and large lifestyle events to name a few.
Whatever your occasion, REM provides you with a one-stop shop for all your function requirements, ensuring a level of product and service matched by few in the industry today.
REM is managed by our in-house coordinator Kelly Allison. Kelly and the REM team provides a hands on approach to all enquiries and functions as well as a high quality service, creativity, commitment and a customer focused approach. With meticulous attention to detail, REM will manage and fully supply everything that goes into the event to ensure that each and every function is a success.
There needs to be mention of some of the services we provide. We use only the best in the business and work closely with a list of reliable and reputable service providers within the country.
• Catering: Food is always one of the most integral parts of any function and with extensive experience in outside catering, REM can offer you a compete catering solution and tailor made menus to suit your food requirements

conditions of hire
1. 1. On paying a deposit against your order or signing the order / delivery note, the Hirer acknowledges the Rooney’s Conditions of Hire and agrees to the terms and conditions set out herein.
2. While all reasonable care and precautions have been taken, Rooney’s do not accept liability for direct, indirect or consequential loss, injury or damage suffered by the Hirer, or any servant, agent or member of the Hirer’s household, arising out of any defects, whether latent, in equipment out on hire.
3. The equipment hereby hired shall be at the sole risk of the hirer, who shall be liable and responsible for any damage to or destruction of, or loss of such equipment howsoever caused, including vis major, casus fortuitus or act of any third party, from the time of delivery to the hirer until redelivery of the equipment to the premises of Rooneys.
4. Rooney’s cannot accept any liability for any equipment damaged that has been supplied to an event by a third party, it is recommended that the hirer or the third party takes out additional insurance for that particular event.
5. Interest will be charged on all overdue accounts from the date of default to payment in full at the current bank lending rate of Rooney’s principal bank plus 2%.
6. We reserve the right to rescind discounts awarded, should payment terms not be adhered to.
7. All orders are to be paid in full before delivery or collection of goods, until the order is paid in full it will remain as a quotation and is subject to change without notice. All quotations are only valid for a period of seven days. All December orders are to be paid in Full 30days prior to delivery.
8. Items will only be reserved for the Hirer once the order deposit has been paid.
9. All orders will include a refundable deposit. Any goods that are damaged or lost will be charged to the Hirer at cost and deducted off the refundable deposit. All refundable deposits not claimed within 3 months will be written off as a surcharge fee.
10. A Transport charge will be levied on all deliveries and collections. Any order that requires extra deliveries for items requested by the client will be an additional charge.
11. Hire charges do not include the installing or set up of such items as fairy lights, chairs, tables, linen, cutlery, crockery etc. Rates for set up of equipment are available on application.
12. Hired equipment is not insured once it leaves Rooney’s premises. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure the security of all hired equipment.
13. While great care is taken by our trained packing staff, all breakages and damage to equipment in transit (if transported by Hirer) or while in use will be charged for in addition to the hire charges.
14. Rooney’s cannot accept any responsibility for any damage that our equipment may cause to a clients vehicle once
it has left Rooney’s premises. It is the responsibility of the driver to ensure all goods are safely loaded and are secure before leaving Rooney’s.
15. To facilitate with loading and off loading of customer collection orders please note the following times: - All orders being collected must be made before 3.00pm – weekdays - All orders being returned must be made before 4.00pm – weekdays - All orders on Saturday’s must be collected or returned by 11.00am
16. To facilitate in smooth delivery of orders, goods may be delivered a day early at no extra charge.NB: Security for all items delivered in this manner is the sole responsibility of the Hirer.
17. An additional hire charge of 50% per day of the “hire charge” will be added on orders that are not returned by the return date.
18. Any goods returned in an unhygienic condition will attract a special cleaning charge.
19. No fires are to be made in or near Rooney’s Marquees / Tents / Gazebo’s. The smoke from fires, stain the fabric of the tents and cause dis-colouring. Any Marquee / Tent / Gazebo that has smoke damage will be charged for at replacement value of the fabric.
20. When erecting a marquee, stabilising pegs are driven into the ground – please ensure that any underground pipes or cables are clearly indicated to a Rooney’s Driver / Supervisor before installation takes place. Rooneys will not be responsible for any damaged pipes or cables or damage to any other property however such damage may be caused, including negligence on the part of any Rooney’s employees.
21. Cancellation by the Hirer less than 30 days prior to the delivery/ supply date of your order will be subject to a 50% cancellation/surcharge fee of the total hire charge, Cancellation 7 days prior to the supply date will be subject to a 100% cancellation/ surcharge fee of the total hire charge. All December orders subject to 100% cancellation fees within 30days of delivery.
22. All delivery times given are estimates, Rooney’s cannot be held responsible for any delays beyond our control.
23. Rooney’s will only accept payments by cheque 14 day’s prior to supply date; otherwise all payments must be made by RTGS, cash or bank guaranteed cheque.
24. Please note that no vinyl stickers or posters are to be stuck or glued on the PVC Walls or Roofs of Rooney’s Tents. There will be a special cleaning charge to remove vinyl or glue if this does occur. The charge will be determined on the area of PVC that needs to be cleaned.
25. Any site plan or drawing issued by Rooney’s remains the property of Rooney’s.

1. The client is responsible for clearing the goods into the country of final destination and any transit countries, and all associated costs. Rooney’s will be responsible for all clearing and costs associated with the Zimbabwean Authorities.
2. The client will be responsible for supplying additional labour to help with the installation and dismantling of the Rooney’s equipment.
3. The client will supply accommodation for the Rooney’s crew.
4. Rooney’s cannot be held responsible for any delays / acts of God that may occur at the boarder (s) that are beyond their control, that may delay in the delivery of the goods.
5. Rooney’s will supply any necessary documentation that the client may need for customs and clearing on request.
1. For any event it is recommend that you take out insurance for that event - please consult your Insurance Broker for further information.
2. All other suppliers to your event i.e. caters / bar service / sound and lighting etc should also have insurance for that particular event.
3. Please do not fold table cloths when they are wet or damp as this will cause mildew and will damage the linen.
4. Any linen with excess stains or marks will be charged for.5. Any goods that are returned after the due in date will
attract an extra hire charge which will be deducted off your refundable deposit.
6. Plastic chairs on smooth surfaces are dangerous, please avoid this
7. Fire are not allowed in or near a marquee as this is not only a fire hazard, the smoke stains the fabric and can not be cleaned. All damaged marquees will be charged for.
8. When erecting a marquee, stabilizing pegs need to be driven into the ground. Rooney’s can not be held responsible for any damage that may occur to water pipes or under ground cables. 1. When collecting an order from Rooney’s, we will often supply a rigger especially if there is a tent to be installed. What to expect when taking a rigger on a collection order is listed below:
2. If the order is going out of Harare and the rigger is to stay out of town over night, the client is expected to provide accommodation and meals for the rigger while on site.
3. The rigger will be paid an out of town allowance by Rooney’s that has been charged on the client’s invoice and you will not be expected to have to pay him any more.
4. The rigger will work normal working hours (see below working hours), if he is to work outside these hours he will request that you sign his out of town time sheet agreeing that you requested him to work outside normal hours. If he is to work outside normal business hours the client will be billed for the overtime and this will be added on your final invoice. Rooney’s will pay the rigger any extra over time charges.
5. When traveling on the client’s time, if this is after normal business hours, this is also considered overtime and will be billed for.
6. The riggers role is to insure that all Rooney’s equipment is installed safely and to the client’s satisfaction. The rigger will require extra labour according to the size of the installation – your Special Events Consultant or Rooney’s Distribution will be able to advise on these numbers.
7. A rigger will assist where he can with Rooney’s equipment – he is not expected to perform any other duties that don’t relate to the equipment that has been hired from Rooney’s.
8. When Rooney’s supply a rigger to assist with installing your order, they will require additional labour. The amount of extra labour required will be advised by your consultant. The extra labour will be required to assist with installing the Rooney’s equipment and with dismantling the Rooney’s equipment. The extra labour required will be for the clients account.
