JACKIE BISHOP,
known also as "The
Button Lady" by the
crafting group, will
be missed as she
takes up residence in
Austin. She was bid
farewell with a cus-
tom made Spurs-
themed table topper signed by many of her
friends in the church. Her new address: 7501
W. Hwy. 290, #104, Austin, TX, 78736.
My dear friends of Kerrville Christian Church,
Your prayers for El Paso are so welcomed as our city struggles to make sense of the recent trage-
dy. El Paso is unique in that our citizens seldom see the color of skin, rather we intermingle with
one another in peace, and mourn for all the lives that were lost. As a city we are becoming EL
PASO STRONG and will overcome this horrific act and be a better, loving people as we grieve for each other.
In Christian love,
Martha Morris, El Paso
Two of our El Paso teachers would like to know if anyone is interest in sending postcards to help our students know
there is plenty of good in our world. As teachers, we may only be able to say so much. We think concrete messages
of support would help us calm some fears. You can send postcards here:

Serving Christ in the
Hill Country for
more than 100 years.
One of the sayings I remember my parents instilling in me is
“There is no such thing as a bad person, just people who have
made bad decisions.” I carry that maxim with me always. It
has shaped the way I view those around me, especially those I
might otherwise dismiss. In my study recently, I came across
another saying that is similar to the one taught to me by my
parents. “Your eyes will never see a person that God
does not love.”
Think of all the people you see in one day. Many you know personally—your
family, friends, coworkers, other students. Others you may never know—
strangers on the street, shoppers in the grocery store, other drivers on the road.
God, however, knows each and every one of them. And more than that, God loves
each and every one of them. That also includes the person you see in the mirror.
God knows you intimately and personally and loves you beyond measure. I pray
we learn to see all those around us, even in the mirror, as God sees them.
Grace and Peace,
