Lockhart, from an almost infantine age, had evinced properties of mind suiting to his distinguished parentage; but Providence, in its inscrutable wisdom, had seen fit to implant a radical weakness in his constitution, which threatened to render him a burden to himself through life, and was the source of deep and painful regret to all connected with him. His inherent weakness has at length been, perhaps kindly terminated by an early death.
