NEW SCHEDULE
This is the new provisional schedule for Saint Rose Parish for
the rest of the summer through August 15 (see front cover).
Here is a summary of the changes:

We are moving the bilingual Mass from Sunday afternoon to
Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. We are moving all the Sunday
Masses to begin 30 minutes earlier. They will now be at 7, 9,
and 11 a.m. and 3 and 5 p.m. The Saturday evening Masses
remain at the same times.

The bigger changes are on the weekdays. We will Mass every morning in
English (7 a.m. MF and 8 a.m. on Saturday). On Tuesday, there will be Mass
at 6:30 p.m. in Spanish. On Wednesday, there will be Mass at 6:30 p.m. in
English. On both Tuesday and Wednesday, there will be Confessions at 56:15
p.m. In July, there will also be Confessions at 23 p.m. on Saturday.

We are reducing the schedule because we will not have as many priests for
much of the late summer. Fr. Michael will be moving to St. Joseph during July,
and Deacon GarcíaMendoza will not be ordained a priest until August 15.
There will be times in July that there will be only one priest at St. Rose during
the week and so we need to have a schedule that is manageable. We are also
suspending livestream Compline for this time. Don't worry! We will have a new
schedule for the fall.

It is not ideal to have to change the schedule frequently, but the situation of our
parish, the diocese, and the world changes. Thank you for your flexibility. One
of the reasons for the changes is that we have tried to provide what is needed
as circumstances change. Please let me know if there is a sacramental need
that is not being met. I will do my best to make provision for it!

          Faithfully,
            Fr. Baker
ADORATION
We will have Adoration on Thursday, July 2 from 8:00 am
through Friday, July 3 at 7:00 am.We must have 2 people
to commit for each hour but no more than 10 people
present. Social distancing of at least 6 feet should be
observed. To sign up for a one hour slot, please go
to:https://signup.com/go/tdZRPkm
BISHOP’S ANNUAL APPEAL FOR MINISTRIES
The 2020 Bishop's Annual Appeal for Ministries is underway, and we need your
help to reach our parish's goal! Please keep your eye out for an appeal letter in
the mail if you have supported the Bishop's Appeal in the past. If you are new to
supporting the Diocese, you can give online atwww.dioceseofnashville.com/
appeal.
SAINT MARTIN DE PORRES, PRAY FOR US!
In these days when we see a lot of statues being pulled down, let's put one up:
a statue of Saint Martin de Porres! I have had it in my mind for some time that a
statue of Saint Martin de Porres would be very appropriate for our Church of
Saint Rose of Lima. You see, they were contemporaries in Lima and both
members of the Dominican Order. As we know from praying our Novena for an
End to Racism, Saint Martin was of mixed racial background and personally
suffered from racism, even within the Church. A statue of Saint Martin would
add another aspect of the universality of the Church to the images we have in
our parish.

I am in consultation with a sculptor who has done amazing works for parishes in
our diocese. I will soon be able to pass on her vision for the statue. Please let
me know if you would like to help with this project!

comenzar 30 minutos antes.

hacer provisiones!

Fielmente,
   El p. Baker

Nuestro horario
de Misa y confesiones
es solo par Junio.
Esté atento para el
horario de Julio.

¡SAN MARTÍN DE PORRES, RUEGA
POR NOSOTROS!

En estos días cuando vemos muchas
estatuas siendo derribadas, pongamos
una: ¡una estatua de San Martín de
Porres! Hace tiempo que tengo en
mente que una estatua de San Martín
de Porres sería muy apropiada para
nuestra Iglesia de Santa Rosa de
Lima. Vea, Santa Rosa y San Martín
eran contemporáneos en Lima y
ambos eran miembros de la Orden
Dominicana.
Una
estatua de San Martín agregaría otro
aspecto de la universalidad de la
Iglesia a las imágenes que tenemos en
nuestra parroquia.

Estoy en consulta con un escultor que
ha realizado obras increíbles para
parroquias en nuestra diócesis. Pronto
podré transmitir su visión de la estatua.
¡Avíseme si desea ayudar con este
proyecto!
