2018 saw a flurry of activities and events which brought the CCA to a higher peak of excellence. Members from Junior High participated in a slew of external events such as performing a dance item for the Team Singapore Flag Presentation Ceremony for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, while the drama students took part in the Human Values Drama Festival held at Republic Polytechnic in February. The year also saw many firsts, with English Drama collaborating with students from Chinese Drama for the first time to perform a bilingual play for this year’s Bicultural Festival. EDS also held its annual concert in May entitled “Seven Wonders” which was very well received. On the Senior High front, this year’s showcase, aptly entitled “Gen”. which is a variation of the word ‘Generations’, featured former students from graduate batches return to perform alongside their current juniors which was a challenging but fruitful experience.
