PLACEMENT - FORD IT DRIVE

A campus pool drive by Ford IT was conducted for the Final year students of

CSE, IT, and ECE. The recruitment team of Ford IT highly commended the

excellent cooperation rendered by SKCET team pertaining to the recruitment

process and appreciated the infrastructure, ambience and decorum of the

Institution.

S&H- TALENTSPRINT PROGRAMME

First year girl students from the Department of CSE, B.Tech IT, CSBS and

M.Tech CSE have registered for the TalentSprint 100% fee sponsorship and

Rs. 2,00,000/- cash Scholarship program by Google to nurture capable

girl students into globally competitive women engineers irrespective of their

socio-economic profile. Among 145 students, 119 students were shortlisted

based on their eligibility criteria. In this regard, the first level online test was

conducted for the girl students in Nicklaus Wirth lab.





Student team comprising of Dharmalingam, Jayaprakash, Poovarasan, and

Poovendan along with their faculty mentors Mr.S.Boobalan and

Mr.S.Karthikeyan, Assistant Professors, EEE are participating in the day 3 of

'Mitsubishi Electric Cup - 2020', a National level competition organized by

Mitsubishi Electric India from 13.02.2020 to 15.02.2020.The panel members

Mr. Shunichi Miyanaga, Mr.Kanji Nishiura and Mr.Masakazu Sakakida,

Board of members, Mitsubishi Electric Ltd, Japan interacted with the

students and enquired about the technology, methodology and application of

the project.

S&H – THEATRE CLUB ACTIVITY

The Theatre Club of SHA organized Quiz Time for the First year students.

Ram Prakash and Madhumitha of I EEE B hosted the event. Two rounds to

test the participants’ knowledge on Drama, Oscars, Genre, Direction and

Movies were conducted. The students participated with lot of zeal. The

finalists were selected based on a rapid fire round. Mrs.Eileen, Assistant

Professor, S&H coordinated the event and promoted group harmony and

aided in team building process.

CIVIL - STUDENTS’ PARTICIPATION IN INSDAG

Student team comprising of K. Ashwin, T. S. Aravind, C. U. Lavanya, K.

Jayashree Nachiyar from the Department of Civil Engineering have

presented their project idea to the panel members in the grand finale of the

National Level student’s competition – Institute of Steel Development

and Growth (INSDAG) at Kolkata. SKCET-Civil team is one among the 16

shortlisted teams to enter into the finals for the second consecutive year.

Ms. K. Ananthi and Ms. S. Nithya priya, Assistant Professors from the

Department of MCT visited the following companies to review the ongoing

students’ project.

MCT- INDUSTRIAL PROJECT INSPECTION

Ms. J. Indira Priyadharshini and Ms.M.Bhuvaneswari, Assistant

Professors, MCT visited Tool Tech, Coimbatore to inspect the Final year

project. They interacted with Mr. V. Ravishankar, MD of the company about

the project progress and career opportunities.

S&H – ECO CLUB ACTIVITY

The ECO Club of SHA conducted a Talk Show on Conservation of

Environment for the First year students. They animated their views in creating

a conducive environment to live in, focused on environmental balance, and

expressed the ways to widen plant community.





Ms.R.Geethamani, Assistant Professor, EEE participated in the Outreach

programme at Anaikatti. This was a part of FDP session on ‘People’s

Participation in Sanitation Management’ organised by Mahatma Gandhi

National Council of Rural Education and Ministry of Human Resource

Development at PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore.
