Note:

1. The relaxation in upper age limit is cumuative as per Govt. of India guidelines.

Sector Undertaking ceases to enjoy ex-serviceman status for further employment.

3. All persons eligible for age relaxation under 4 (4) above must produce the domicile certificate at

the time of interview, from the District Magistrate in the Kashmir Division within whose jurisdiction

he/she had ordinarily resided or any other authority designated in this regard by the Govt. of

Jammu & Kashmir, to the effect that the candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir

Division of the state of Jammu & Kashmir during 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989.

4. Above relaxations are available only if the candidates fulfill the various conditions prescribed in

the Govt. of India orders and instructions in this regard. To claim age relaxation, reserved

category candidates should submit a copy of the Community Certificate.

Definition: Persons With Disability (PWD)

Definition of Categories of Disabilities:

(a) An Orthopaedically Challenged (OC) person is one suffering from Locomotor Disability or

Cerebral Palsy. Persons who suffer from not less than 40% of relevant disability (as certifiedby a Medical Board appointed by the Central/State govt.) would be eligible for reservation in

services/posts. Locomotor Disability means disability of the bones, joints or muscles leading tosubstantial restriction of the movement of the limbs or any from of cerebral palsy. Cerebral

Palsy means a group of non progressive conditions of a person characterized by abnormal

motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries ocurring in the pre-natal, peri-natal,or infant period of development.

(b) Deaf & Hearing Imparied (HI): the deaf are those persons in whom the sense of hearing is nonfunctional for ordinary purposes of life i.e. total loss of hearing in both ears. They do not hear,

understand sounds at all even with amplified speech. Hearing impairment means loss of sixtydecibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies.

(c ) Visually Impaired. (VI) The visually impaired persons are those suffering from blindness or lowvision.Blindness- refers to a condition where a person suffers from any of the following conditions

(i) total absence of sight, (ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (Snellen)in the bettereye with correcting lenses, (iii)Limitation of the field of vision sustending an angle of 20 degree

or worse. Person with low vision-means a person with impairment of visual functioning evenafter treatment or standard refractive correction, but who uses or is potentially capable ofusing vision for the planning or execution of a task with appropriate assistive device. The

visually impaired candidates and candidates whose writing speed is affected by cerebralpalsy can use their own scribe at their cost during the written examination. In all such cases

where a scribe is used, the following rules will apply: The candidate will have to arrange his/her own scribe -

i) at his/her own cost.ii) The academic qualification of the scribe should be one grade lower than the stipulatedeligibility criteria.

iii) The scribe can be from any academic discipline. The scribe should possess less marks than

the candidate and not more than 60% marks in his own academic stream.iv) Both the candidate as well as the scribe will have to give a suitable undertaking, confirming that

the scribe fulfills all the stipulated eligibility criteria for a scribe as mentioned above. Further,

incase, it later transpires that he/ she did not fulfill any of the laid down eligibility criteria orsuppresses material facts, the candidature of the applicant will stand cancelled, irrespective ofthe result of the written examination. Such candidates who use a scribe shall be eligible for

extra time of 20 minutes for every hour of the examination.05. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (AS ON 01.08.2009)

Vacancy for the post of Director, Kathak Kendra, New DelhiApplications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for the post of Director, Kathak Kendra, NewDelhi in the Pay Band of Rs. 15,600-39,100 with grade pay of Rs. 6.600/-with usual allowances. The

Kathak Kendra is a constituent unit of the Sangeet Natak Akademi, an autonomous body of theMinistry of Culture, Government of India. The post is to be filled on contract / deputation basis. The

details of qualifications etc. required for the post are as under:Essential Qualification:

(a) Post Graduate Degree preferably in humanities/ social sciences / music/dance / drama,(b) Understanding and knowledge of performing arts as performer/writer/ producer,(c) Experience in formulating, planning and administering of projects / schemes dealing with

performing arts specially in Kathak dance and classical music,(d) Knowledge of Government Rules and Regulations.

Age limit: As on 31 August, 2009 (closing date of receipt of application), between 40-50 years andrelaxable by 5 years in case of persons employed in Central Govt./ State Govt. / autonomous bodies,and SC/ST candidates.

Appointment of Administrative Positions at BPUT, OrissaThe Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Orissa with its headquarters in Rourkela wasestablished through an Act of the Government of Orissa in 2002. The primary objectives of BPUT are

to provide a uniform curriculum, examination and evaluation system for the under-graduate as wellas post-graduate degrees in engineering; management; computer application; pharmacy; hotelmanagement and architecture. The university also offers Ph.D programmes in many of these branches.

These are over 150 colleges spread across the state of Orissa and student strength exceeds80000. The university is now looking for the following senior administrative positions:

Eligibility:

(A) For Registrar/ Director Examination/ Director Placement & Industrial Training Ph.D

degree with first class (or equivalent) at Bachelors or Masters level in engineering/ management /

applied sciences with fifteen (15) years of experience in Teaching/ Research and significant

professional work. They should possess at least 3 years of experience as Professor in a recognizedinstitution or at senior level comparable to that of a Professor.

(B) For Dy. Registrar/ Dy. Director Examination

Ph.D degree with first class (or equivalent) at Bachelors or Masters level in engineering/management

/ applied sciences discipline with eight (8) years of experience in Teaching/ Research and significant

professional work. They should be occupying the position of a Reader in a recognized institution or

at a senior level comparable to that of a Reader.

General:

The age of the candidate should be preferably below 55 years. Preference shall be given to

candidates who have (i) Appropriate administrative experience (ii) Research guidance at Ph.D (for

Dy. Registrar / Dy. Director, at Masters) level and good publications in referred journals. In-service

candidates (equivalent to the grade of Professor/ Reader) from the Government educational institutions

would have to submit ano objection certificate from the employers at the time of interview. Retired

persons are not eligible for the above posts. The applications would be accepted only by Post; No
