25.401 ABET REQUIREMENTSCourse Goals: Upon completion of the course, a student should be able to:

Course Section

1. Identify the major civil engineering infrastructure deficiencies in Haiti.

Culture of Haiti2. Provide an overview of the history of Haiti since 1950.

3. Communicate with local Haitians on a rudimentary level.

4. Determine seismic site class according to IBC 2012 using available soil properties.

Seismic Design5. Determine peak ground acceleration using earthquake hazard data.

6. Determine earthquake spectral response acceleration parameters (SS and S1) in accordance with IBC 2012 procedures.

7. Identify project requirements for use in 14.485. Preparation for 14.4858. Develop a project timeline for use in 14.485.
