Day 1: Australia - - Hanoi Today depart Australia for Vietnam! A Webjet representative will pick you up at airport and transfer you to the hotel where your tour guide will be waiting. (Please note some flights will arrive in late in the evening on the first night) The rest of the day is at leisure. Day 2: Hanoi (B,L,D) Today we head out on a full day experience of Hanoi. Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, a 1400 year-old temple, the oldest of the city and located near West Lake offering a watery landscape, the pagoda is a very scenic attraction. See the ghostly tomb of Ho Chi Minh, where you have chance to visit President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum before on to Uncle Ho's House and the One-pillar pagoda – a very iconic temple in Vietnam. After lunch, we will explore Ngoc Son Temple (Temple of Jade Mountain) dedicated to Confucian and Taoist philosophers and the national hero Tran Hung Dao. The temple with its famous Huc bridge is in the centre of Hoan Kiem (Sword) Lake. Take a walk visiting the Old town of Hanoi, visit Dong Xuan Market and enjoying a progressive street food dinner. Hanoi is renowned for its legendary street food dishes and tonight we discover some of the city’s best – from Banh Cuon (stuffed rice noodle rolls) to Thit Nuong (chargrilled pork skewers) and Hanoi famous beer hoi, brewed each day and famous egg coffee to finish off the night. Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B,L,D) This morning depart for the UNESCO World Heritage Halong Bay. On the way we stop at a handicraft workshop for a short break. Enjoy the journey through Red River Delta with lush rice fields, water buffalos and everyday Vietnamese rural life. After we arrive in Halong, check-in to your cruise and relax for a while. Then we lift anchor and sail to visit Sung Sot caves where we enjoy some ocean kayaking. Day 1: Australia - - Hanoi

Today depart Australia for Vietnam! A Webjet representative will pick

you up at airport and transfer you to the hotel where your tour guide will

Day 2: Hanoi (B,L,D)

Today we head out on a full day experience of Hanoi. Visit Tran Quoc

many lime stones and set anchor at a beautiful spot for the night. As the sun sets over the

bay, dinner is served on board with a range of fresh seafood. Tonight, watch as the pro’s

demonstrate someone of Vietnam’s most iconic cuisines in a cooking class on board, where

you can learn to cook some basic Vietnamese dishes.

Day 4: Halong Bay - Hanoi (B,L)

The beautiful sunrise in Halong bay should never be missed, especially if you are into

photography. The breaking of a new day start with a Tai chi session (if you are keen on

early morning exercise) otherwise relax on board or opt to sleep in. After breakfast the boat

weaves through the magnificent limestone karst formations on your return towards

Halong City. After we make our way back to Hanoi where the rest of the afternoon is at

leisure before dinner.

Day 5: Hanoi - - Hoi An (B)

This morning you have free time before your airport transfer for your onward flight to

Danang (Hoi An). On arrival in to Danang, you will be transferred to Hoi An where the

rest of the afternoon is at leisure.

Optional Tour: The Last Great Taste—Join Australian and Chef Neville Dean for an in depth

street food tour of Hoi An, sampling local delicacies along the way, learning the best ways to eat

Vietnamese food.

Day 6: Hoi An (B,L)

Today, act like a local and visit the Hoi An market to buy ingredients for today’s cooking

class. We then jump on bikes for a short ride to Tra Que village (a short 15 minute cycle

away). You will be welcomed with a special local soft drink - “É” water or local tea. After

your welcome, take a short walk around the vegetable garden to see local farmers at work.

Begin to learn how to cook local delicacies including: Banh xeo - sizziling rice cakes, Tam

huu—spring rolls and Tra Que - spring rolls. Tonight we are staying with a local family at a

homestay to get to experience their way of life and culture (alternative hotel options available).

Day 7: Hoi An - - Ho Chi Minh City (B)

After breakfast, we leave Hoi An for Da Nang airport to fly to Ho Chi Minh City. On

arrival Ho Chi Minh City airport you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest

of the day is then free to explore the high energy city at your own pace.

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels - Ho Chi Minh City (B,L,D)

Today we head to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Cu Chi is a network of more than 120 km

underground and were built by sweat and blood of Vietnamese guerrillas to hide and fight

against the rival forces. We will learn how the Vietnamese made and used many kinds of

booby traps during Vietnam War and explain the methods of creating, maintaining and

living in these tunnels as well as the special technique of hiding smoke invented by the

guerrillas. The visit also includes visiting different type of underground halls, secret

working, meeting rooms. You will spend an hour experiencing the tunnels with a local

guide. Afterwards, enjoy tea and cassava (guerrilla’s food during the war). Before finishing

the tour, you can watch a short (15 minutes) documentary about the tunnel before

returning to Ho Chi Minh City. This evening we head out on the hunt of a seafood trail and

night eating adventures! You will get to experience different type of fresh and delicious

local seafood and typical Vietnamese dishes and desserts. Expect to feel like you're hanging

out with friends who are showing you the best -- and tastiest -- bits of Ho Chi Minh City.

Experience all this on the back of Vietnam’s most popular mode of transport, the

Motorbike! If motorbikes aren’t your cup of tea a car service is available.

Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City - Phnom Penh (B,D)

Today we take a bus to Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh (4 hours). On arrival to Phnom

Penh, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon, discover the

Phnom City including: Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21), the National Museum built in

1917-18 is exclusively dedicated to Khmer arts. We visit the picture perfect Royal Palace

built in 1866 followed by the Silver Pagoda located within the Royal Palace compound. In

the evening, street kids turned master chefs will provide dinner at an inspirational

hospitality school for the underprivileged.

Day 10: Phnom Penh (B)

Today is a free day to enjoy Phnom Penh at your own pace. We recommend you take a trip

to the infamous killing fields if you are interested in knowing more about the city history. It

is around 25-30 km away from Phnom Penh centre and can be access by tuk tuk for around

15 USD two way trip (your guide will be able to assist you). Entrance is 6 USD including

audio guide, which is very informative and handy allowing you to explore the place at

your own pace. Tonight you might choose to have a relaxing sunset drink at the famous

Foreign Correspondents’ Club and watch the sun go down.

Day 11: Siem Reap (B,D)

After breakfast head for Siem Reap stopping along the way. We arrive into Siem Reap early

in the afternoon. After checking in to the hotel you have free time to get to know this

friendly town. Why not head to the central market or the aptly named ‘Pub Street’ for a

relaxing drink. Tonight we head out to the local market to shop like a local! We’ll select the

freshest produce and the prepare the food in a hands on cooking class. Afterwards, you get

to dine on your newly learnt meal.

Day 12: Siem Reap

We will spend a full day visiting the amazing temples of Angkor. Angkor Thom, the 'Great

Royal City', is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone. The impressive

Bayon temple is the centerpiece. Angkor Wat is the largest and most complete structure. It

is the only one of Angkor's temples with its entrance facing to the west (the others face

east), the reason being that it was constructed as a funerary temple for King Suryavarman

II and a westerly countenance was seen to represent a sunset. Continue your visit to the

jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and

gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure

giving the impression of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature.

We explore this masterpiece as well as some of the surrounding temples including Banteay

Kdei, Sra Srong, Ta Keo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevado. Tonight have a special dinner

at the Apsara show where you can sample various selection of local dishes and watch the

famous Cambodia Apsara performance
