General Description

The boat was designed by John Shuttleworth in 2004 using hulls from a trimaran built in Finland in 2000. The main hull is epoxy-cedar core. The beams are all

carbon. The boat was professionally built by Pro composites using vacuum bagging and post curing all structural components.

She was finished in 2009 in readiness for the 2010 2 handed Round Britain and Ireland race. She completed the 2000 mile course with no issues and placed 4th

in class. Top speed during the race was 24 knots. It was a punishing race which was hard on the wind for most of the Atlantic leg in 30 knots +. On leaving the

Shetland Isles the wind was blowing 40 knots and continued to do so for 30 hours as we sailed down to the East Coast of the British Isles.

Foils (daggerboard/rudder) are deep and carbon reinforced. The rudder hinges upwards and is fused - similar design to that on IDEC - to prevent damage from

accidental grounding or underwater obstruction. Easily beached.

The tiller is custom made in Carbon. The nets are as tight as they come with integral attachments as seen on the French race boats .The majority of the interior is

made from lightweight vacuumed bagged foam/glass panels.

To date she has completed thousands of miles and there are no structural issues - no paint cracks anywhere and no movement - even after spending 12 hours

under bare poles in a force 10 gale in the North Sea.

6 berths, comfortable roomy interior (fridge, hot/cold pressurised water, 4 burner hob etc).

This is a fast but very comfortable boat for rapid passage making in comfort and/or offshore racing.
